TangledThorns Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Then, like Exo said above, this show probably isn't going anywhere... Yeah, I used to suspect it lot has to do with budgeting but this last episode disproved that. If they can create a post-zombie Atlanta then I'm sure they can do the same with a post-zombie Washington, DC. Quote
myk Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Well now they've come full circle, fumbling around in Atlanta again but I think it's sort of annoying. There's a whole world out there to have stories with, unless they're saving it for a spinoff or something... Quote
chyll2 Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Seeing that the producer has plans to extend this until season 11 or 12 or maybe even more, there are plenty of round-about in the story. Hopefully the show will not get cancelled when ratings fall off. Quote
EXO Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 I'm enjoying this season so far. Yeah I'm getting separation anxiety from the main group but aside from the Glen/Maggie episode and Beth's story being stretched for an hour by itself, I think this is the best season so far. I just don't want it to become the "who do we have to save from which crazy group" recycled storyline over and over. Quote
mslz22 Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Does anyone else think that by this season finale (not mid season) that they will land some place relatively safe? My guess is yes if only to get another time jump in for Carl, they will need a 2 year jump soon the way he is growing up. My guess is that it can be a good plot device too, time jump 2 years and everyone has let their guard down a bit, let the action ramp up again. Quote
jvmacross Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Season 11 or 12? I trying to stay interested past the latest episode! Based on that last episode....seems to me that with enough firepower Rick's crew (or any other well-armed group) could retake Atlanta with ease! LOL...that just doesn't seem right... Quote

Kanedas Bike Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Just watched it and The Talking Dead, both of which I thought were great with just a couple of exceptions, the van sequence as one and how Carol got caught off guard being another. The flashbacks worked great and the combo of Carol and Daryl (so good it rhymes, HA HA HA) continue to work well. I'm kind of mad that they didn't have a "moment" but they still had some excellent character growth and interaction (Carol telling Daryl that he's a man now was awesome). I am tired of GA as the backdrop but at this point I think they will reserve other settings for the spin-off. It's too bad as I'm borderline sick of them running from woods>rural town>woods>woods>rural town> woods>facility>town over and over again. Still looking forward to next week though - so all complaints moot!!!! -b. Quote
troyness Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 (edited) The rumour goes that the producers are considering Daryl as a gay character, it would seem to explain why we have as of yet see him become physically intimate with either Beth or Carol. (..and no I am neither joking nor trolling, can anyone confirm or deny this rumour?) Edited November 19, 2014 by troyness Quote

They do not need any firepower, they can easily do it with any random pointed objects LOL...but yeah...that's how incredulous this show is becoming (yes, I know...it's a show about zombies...but at least "keep it real" in-universe..... I would say that's because Carol is, to put it mildly, "gross," and isn't Beth supposed to be like, 14 or something? Quote
Kanedas Bike Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Goodness, some of the stuff that y'all talk about... But for sh!ts and giggles my .02 is that I doubt that the producers will do any shark jumping with Daryl, especially in that regard. This considering how many women viewers like and watch The Walking Dead specifically because of him. -b. Quote

(..and no I am neither joking nor trolling, can anyone confirm or deny this rumour?) In a recent GQ interview there was talk of making Daryl a gay character back in the first season. Knowing Hollywood it wouldn't surprise me if they did make him gay. troyness Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Seinfeld: "Not that there's anything wrong with that"..."Not at all" ....But Daryl's got an aura of mystery around him that makes him cool IMO. Which would all be easly explained away if he were gay(hey that rhymed)..."again, not that there's anything wrong with that"..."No not at all" ..thanks fellas..Daryl keep killing in a manly way...luv ya man...I mean..you know what I mean.."not that there's anything wrong with that" ...I didn't know that Beth was 14?..."there's something wrong with that"... myk Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 I don't think she's 14, I was merely trying to make the point that people hoping for a sexual encounter between Daryl and Beth will probably stay disappointed, as the age difference between the two should be an issue... Quote

I don't really watch the show, but if I did, I'm sure I would see Carol kick your bells up around your ears and then garrot you with your own tongue for that statement. And she's pretty in her way. Kanedas Bike Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Maybe so. Too bad she didn't have the strength to save her own daughter though... No, she did not. You could also say the same to Rick about Lori and Little Ass Kicker before she was shown to be alive. But it's called character development and evolution. Carol is a good character and I appreciate what her arc has brought to the show. -b. Quote
Thom Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 Yes, not much she can do when her daughter runs off and she's not around to protect her. And just so we know, that's the last EP thet I ever fully watched. Quote
505thAirborne Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 (edited) Watching WD right now and I still don't trust Gabriel for nothing.... very strange vibe from him. Sadly a very predictable ending scene to this episode, Stevie Wonder saw that coming! Edited November 24, 2014 by 505thAirborne Quote
Dynaman Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 yup, here I was so happy that they stopped being idiots and that scene comes along. Quote
skullmilitia Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 Next week is the mid-season finale, I expect hardly anything being resolved. If anything more plot hangers to bring you waiting for fall. Quote

EXO Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 Yup. Last few eps. really taking advantage of the good graces it got from the earlier episodes. Quote
jvmacross Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 (edited) ....or they can go out with a bang just like it started? Thought that scene where Rick get's his idea vetoed was cool.... Also anyone else think they handled that whole "Darryl coming out of the woods" scene oddly...are we now just supposed to assume he came out with the black kid?....but weren't they driving? Or we just assume they dumped the vehicle and decided to sneak back to the church for effect? Anyone else think the priest will get rescued by Morgan? Plus where's the bloodbath? Seems to survive you're better off splitting into 3 groups....LOL....was half expecting Sasha to have been pushed out that window....she's a goner....no way both she and Tyreese will both come back from that hospital....or if Carol goes....Tyreese may go too as his "secret about Carol" will become pointless... Anyone else get a feeling there may be some interest between Glenn and Rosita? Apocalyptic 3-some....or cheater gets to die? There should technically be three separate cliffhangers....so next episode should be good.... Edited November 24, 2014 by jvmacross Quote
myk Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 Glenn and Rosita, Tara, Maggie and all the other girls, why not? Glenn's slowly becoming the subtle playboy of the group and I like that; it's about time my Asian brothers got their dues, especially from women..............Too bad it took the end of the world and most of the other eligible men dying off for it to happen lol... EXO Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 Rosita on Talking Dead.... yummmm... How the heck did the zombie sneak up on the padre? I mean, heard the walker, and he kept turning around to look every which way, and it still popped up right in front of him. I'm calling it. Walker teleportation! It's a thing! Quote

troyness Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 Remember the good old days when there was slightly less character development and more pace. ...ahh miss you season 3! ....and why is everyone sympathetic with Eugene? A lot of people died protecting his ass, check his boot size and roll his shovel face to the curb.. Quote
myk Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 Yeah screw Eugene. It'd be one thing if he had valuable skill sets they need for the group, but the only thing I've seen him do effectively is turn on a water hose... Quote
Mommar Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 So you guys have completely missed all of the stuff Eugene taught the people he was with about how to sterilize water, etc... in addition to being clever enough to fool a whole group of people? He has brains... they're f.u.c.k.ing useful. Quote

And nobody else from that group has wasted lives/resources? Rosita filtered water for the entire group via a method Eugene taught her. He saved them that same episode while unconscious. He's not useless. Quote
