ae_productions Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 hahaha, darkhorizon is circulating a report that Lindsay "I'm not a shop lifter" Lohan is in talks for the Superman movie. http://www.darkhorizons.com/news/19394/lindsay-lohan-needs-a-man-of-steel- They acknowledge it's probably BS but it's still fun. To quote Luke Skywalker or his dad, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Quote
eugimon Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Cinematical has a story up saying Viggo "Aragorn" Mortensen is being pursued to play Zod. http://blog.moviefone.com/2011/02/25/superman-viggo-mortsensen-general-zod/ Would be fantastic casting if it gets done, imo. Quote
valhary Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 I just watch sucker punch so I have high expectations of this superman no like the bryan singerĀ“s crap Quote
chrisk Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Amy Adams = Lois Lane? I wonder if anyone will miss Kate Bosworth riveting performance... Quote

peter Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Interesting development today...oh wait, "Great Caesar's Ghost!" Laurence Fishburne set for 'Man of Steel' Too bad Routh's not going to be the man of steel again, thought he did an awsome job...don't know anything about this new guy. Quote
areaseven Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Interesting development today...oh wait, "Great Caesar's Ghost!" Laurence Fishburne set for 'Man of Steel' Does this mean he'll ask Clark to take the red pill or the blue pill? Quote
myk Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Too bad Routh's not going to be the man of steel again, thought he did an awsome job...don't know anything about this new guy. My thoughts exactly; he played the role perfectly, reminded me of 'Reeve God rest his soul. Why do we need another reboot? Oh wait, I already asked that... Quote
azrael Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Is it too late to say I kinda like the Brandon Routh look/costume?????? m0n5t3r Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 (edited) haven't been following this... so, who's that new guy playing Superman? doesn't look Kryptonian at all... looks Italian. and what's with the costume... looks "scaly" Edited August 4, 2011 by m0n5t3r Quote
PetarB Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 The weird thing is, the guy in that picture looks like a totally different person to the actor playing the part. Quote
Keith Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 The weird thing is, the guy in that picture looks like a totally different person to the actor playing the part. SUPERMAN: UNCHAINED! Quote
VT 1010 Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 They copied the the Spider-man movies' ridiculous costume textures. Basketball-man is bad enough, but Superman too? And I too liked the Routh's Superman, even if the movie itself wasn't very good. Quote
Kanedas Bike Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Ugh. Looks more like Ultraman than Superman. And like a few others have said makes me miss the Brandon Routh Superman. -b. Quote
EXO Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Dude needs a haircut. I guess he should go to Supercuts! Quote
realdeal Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 (edited) They hid his crotch area as they are apparently unsure whether he wears his underwear outside of his outfit or not. Edited August 5, 2011 by realdeal Quote

Kanedas Bike Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Dude, what are you talking about. He looks absolutely nothing like Ultraman. That was horrible. And I get the joke/sarcasm but the pic they released doesn't make the character look heroic, at all - he looks like a villain. Is it too early to start hoping for the next reboot??? -b. Quote

It looks like he's got a receeding hairline, but it could just be the picture. I like Brendon Routh's Superman better because he was the perfect tribute to Reeve's Superman.... Quote

HG Blows Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 the hair bugs the hell out of me, it's too 80's wall street stockbroker to me. Quote
Golden Arms Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 I thought Superman return's sucked as well. It was horribly cast, with a terrible plot and story. Routh looked like a young Reeves, but he brought nothing to the part. He was nothing more than a look alike. DC is currently rebooting all of their comics. I'm curious to see if this new version of superman will mirror DC's new superman or the J Michael Strazenski's take on the character. Quote

Golden Arms Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 I blame Brian singer more so than Routh. I concur. His film was too much of a tribute to the Donner films. He should've made the film his own, and explored new territory. If Lex is in this reboot, I hope they make him a scientific genius like in the comics. I'm tired of the bumbling criminal genius that we've gotten in all of the films. Quote
BeyondTheGrave Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 It's like Singer only looks at the parts HE likes and only uses that (ex: X-men First class). Returns had a few moments. But they few and far in between. I feel someone needs to be in the room telling singer "no you can't do that". Quote
m0n5t3r Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 that's as ugly as that new wonder woman costume that was scrapped. Quote
derex3592 Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 that's as ugly as that new wonder woman costume that was scrapped. LOL! BIG +1 Agua Man suit for sure.... Quote
EXO Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 It's so weird... when they just leave it to the basics, like the Chris Reeve version it looks so good. I mean Scarlett Johanssen looks pretty damn good in those pics as Black Widow. Quote
Golden Arms Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Yeah the suit looks like epic fail. The colors look way too dark. I don't mind that they got rid of his red shorts, but you need something in place to break up all of the blue. A colored belt or some colored pattern on his legs. Quote
