Einherjar Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Nope. While it shares the same concept of a robot living with a family, it's different in plot. Metal Mickey was just a robot, while Vicki was a robot made to resemble a human girl and the family was trying to keep her robot identity a secret. Poor "girl," if only it wasn't played for laughs in the show. Not that funny after watching A.I. Artificial Intelligence. Quote
Keith Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 That actually would have been a great easter egg to toss itno A.I., a little girl robot wearing her trademark dress at the flesh fair. Quote
akt_m Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 I tried to watch this first ep. of Metal Mickey and was really boring. But Small Wonder... i liked it. saw already 6 episodes. Quote
Funkenstein Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Coming This October on DVD... Are they supposed to be wrestlers or something? Quote
myk Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 I think it's a porno; a scary one, at that... Quote
Atharun Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 I remember when TTAFFBH was on USA network as a kid . It was worse than Power Rangers,Beetleborgs, VR trooper, even worse than Super Human Cybersquad and it's hacker bad guy who is supposed to be a teen but looked 30. Does anyone remember the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles live action series? That has to be up there with the worst sci-fi'ish tv series. Quote

Yeah, that one killed the TMNT franchise in the '90s if the third movie didn't already. But as bad as it is, it's not Small Wonder. Quote

areaseven Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Essentially the worst parts of your TV childhood are on this list. But they're wrong about Chuck Norris, Mr. T, and Mike Tyson. Quote
areaseven Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 (edited) The Nostalgia Critic looks back at the de facto titleholder of this thread. Edited July 3, 2016 by areaseven Quote
F-ZeroOne Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 (edited) No mention of "Dads Army" in that list of remakes? The show is almost like a religion over here, so you can imagine the reaction most people havewhen they hear someone actually tried to remake it... Edited June 4, 2015 by F-ZeroOne Quote
eight_car Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 I seen a LOT of shows I liked in this thread ST: Voyager ST: Enterprise Plus others..Was a long thread for me to remember them all Small Wonder WAS horrific, however the all time WORST was actually mentioned by the OP on the very first post Battle Star Galactica 1980 Sorry nothing was as bad, cheesy, and RUINED the memories of a great franchise until the reboot/re-launch of BSG Quote
JB0 Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Small Wonder had FOUR(!) seasons. HOW, WHY!?Because it was AWESOME! ... When I was six. As with most of us, I had pretty poor taste as a kid. Quote
Einherjar Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Syfy's Ascension, for not being the kind of show they spent so much time hyping it up to be. Quote

Small Wonder went on for four seasons, leaving many viewers scarred for life. I don't know about that. I remember Small Wonder (almost) fondly while Battlestart Galactica 1980 still makes me want to scream profanity. I guess that's what you get from a show where nearly everyone who worked on it had no desire to do so. Quote
areaseven Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 (edited) After some extensive reading, it appears that Galactica 1980 was ABC's way of giving the series a slow and painful death, as well as an F-U to the fans who protested over the original series' cancellation (especially some poor 15-year-old kid who committed suicide because he was obsessed by it). With that in mind, here's a quick rundown of Galactica 1980 for your viewing displeasure. Edited November 25, 2015 by areaseven Quote
Keith Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Man, would that 15 year old kid have felt stupid if he knew living 23-24 more years would have gotten him a much better show. Quote
Noriko Takaya Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 (edited) While technically a movie, this stinker went on to spawn an equally crappy TV series. And before you get your panties in a bunch, I actually love this film, even if it is stupid and the acting is horrible. Edited June 7, 2015 by Noriko Takaya Quote

areaseven Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 I've only seen the Liquid Television segments, and I'm not touching the live-action movie with a 10-foot pole. But was the TV series that bad? Quote
renegadeleader1 Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Yes. Yes it was. Aeon Flux is one of the worst turds to be animated I have ever seen. It exists purely for shock value. Its inconsistant, incoherent, the designs are eye bleedingly painful to look at, and it tries to legitimize itself by craming in some gnostic teaching bullcrap that doesn't hold up when you take more than a cursory glance at it. In a sentence? Aeon Flux is complete crap. Quote
areaseven Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 I'm calling this, on grounds of alien gibberish. Quote

You have to remember this was an MTV thing from the first half of the 1990s--soaked in pop-culture and impotent heroes. But I preferred The Maxx, myself. Quote
Mazinger Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 At the risk of offending those with bad SyFy tastes, I nominate Sliders. Whoa was that bad. It instantly made everything on that channel better by just being produced. Quote

Agent ONE Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Nice job on digging up this thread. Was reminded of 5 years of thinking of sh!tty shows to contribute... Still maintain my earlier answers. Love that this thread is still here. Quote
areaseven Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 No points for guessing what this TV series is based on. Quote
