Guest davidwhangchoi Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 (edited) here's a retro cover with music from the game: loved this game Edited March 20, 2014 by davidwhangchoi Quote
Black Valkyrie Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 I really like this shooter and the 4th one of the series but too difficult and I agree all of them including TF5 have an excellent sound track. Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 cute cover... here's Konami's Scramble on Vectrex: Quote
Black Valkyrie Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Back then in the 16/ 32-bit era I wished that NTSC/ PAL gaming covers had a better cover pic, like their Japanese counterparts. Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 the first time i played splatter house was on the tgx-16. it was awesome. i never liked galaxy force II... i saw the sit down cab and it just turned around in a circle like a spinning top. i thought gloc's 360 cab was much better. i wish pc engine came out w more stuff in the us. but nintendo had everything locked up at the time. Black Valkyrie Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 I remember gaming experts were saying if the PC-Engine was really supported in Europe and the US, it would have been No. 1 because of its low price, when comparing it to the Megadrive/ Genesis and SNES. Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 yeah, i really felt NEC had a winner but it was at the wrong time. that turbo express (portable) was way ahead of it's time. my older brother was really good at this: Quote
Black Valkyrie Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Yeah and their GBA style PC-Engine. I remember that game, only got to play it on the Commodore 64. Quote
Scyla Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 I'm playing Secret of Evermore on my SNES at the moment. I had a hard time getting into the gameplay at first and I think I died several times on my way to Fireeyes village. However in the end I managed to (barely) kill the Raptors and receive my free Moos Vest. Stopped after the first boss and now it is time to do some swamp huntin'. Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Yeah and their GBA style PC-Engine. I remember that game, only got to play it on the Commodore 64. pc engine portable was my dream machine but i couldn't afford it. it had a tv tuner too! i can't believe you can play the same hu cards on it. amazing for it's time. that and the original neo geo was insane. oh man! star wars was one game you needed to play w an arcade cab to experience the joy of the gm. i did play it on c64 as well as mame emulator on pc nut nothing comes close bc of the unique flight stick used: Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 another vintage cab that's cool: Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 never heard of those two, i just remember sega Nights was the game everyone was talking about. Quote
Valkyrie Hunter D Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 More Saturn goodies, I love me some Guardian Heroes, but I always wanted to play Princess Crown. Odin Sphere and Muaramasa would have to suffice. Quote
Black Valkyrie Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Same here but its very hard to find, even in the 15 years but if you find it, it comes with a very high price tag. BTW anyone played Contra Evolution ? Quote
Froy Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 amazing collection of games: Holy mother of video games! 00:19! Shinobi I was like 7 or 6 years old when I played. Memories... Quote
TangledThorns Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 (edited) I went sorta retro by reloading Crysis 1 on my new PC rig that I built last month. Hard to believe the game was released in 2007 as it still looks great at max settings! I wanted to play it again to test out my new GPU, AMD 280X. My old rig using a AMD 4850 and then a 6870 could barely do medium to medium high settings. Edited April 10, 2014 by TangledThorns Quote

Valkyrie Hunter D Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 one of my favorite childhood games of all time. ninja magic! here's one i love: Non rapid fire weapons AND a rotary joystick-that one was so hard on my hands even as a kid. It was like Ikari Warriors but much, much harder. Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 loved victory road but wondered if it went on forever. i remember rotating those rotary joysticks back and forth forever to block all bullets with the sword... anyone remember this game: Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 (edited) Sega Outrun is an all time classic: there is a bug in the arcade game that was kept secret until youtube came out. you can hit the grass and not lose speed. at first i thought he was using God mode and thought this is cheap. but it is not. the driver can still crash into obstacles, cars, trucks and flip the car over. (he does eventually crash into an obstacle several times) since this bug is avail to all players equally it's fair game to top players and they all use it and see how high they can score. this guy is insane his timing is crazy through the obstacles. non emulator all footage from an arcade cabinet: Edited April 15, 2014 by davidwhangchoi Quote
renegadeleader1 Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 This is one of my all time favorite arcade games... CABAL! I own the NES port which is still pretty damn good despite the graphics, and lack of track ball control the arcade had. Quote

Photon Cannon, Infinity ! Marvel super heros but i loved Captain America and the Avengers in the arcade: i loved the attract mode intro and music: Edited April 21, 2014 by davidwhangchoi Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Gradius II was hard. this player beats it without dying. incredible! Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 anyone play ghost n goblins? this guy finishes it twice(true ending) in one play Quote
Black Valkyrie Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Captain America and the Avengers would have been a good SNES port. Quote
Valkyrie Hunter D Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 There WAS a SNES port of the Avengers game: Whether it was a good port is debatable... Quote
