Kanedas Bike Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Marvel is riding the Ultimate Universe hard for their upcoming releases. -b. Quote
Kanedas Bike Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 that's a problem b/c? If you're talking to me I don't recall saying that it was a problem. Just calling it as I see it. -b. Quote

BeyondTheGrave Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Why's Cap hanging out with Cylons? This is where it begins. Quote
eugimon Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Looks good, but I was always a fan of the Ultimate Cap costume. Quote
anime52k8 Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 he doesn't look too bad by the guys in the background look hilarious. Then again this kind of stuff tends to look better in film than it does in stills so I'll wait for the trailer. Quote
mikeszekely Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 that's a problem b/c? It's not, as long as it's pre-Ultimatum. I don't think I've read an Ultimate book since that I've liked. Quote
Keith Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 (edited) This is where it begins. Ah, now I get it. CAP(tain Ame)RICA! (damn I hope I'm the first person on the internet to make this joke). Edited January 15, 2011 by Keith Quote
Agent ONE Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 It's funny, even in the comics the super soldier serum only worked for a small number of people. Most people exposed to it had horrible side effects. Exactly... Its a comic about steroids. Quote
taksraven Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Here's the full photo off EW's website: 'Captain America' first look: Chris Evans in his full costume -- EXCLUSIVE Great camo. There was a good reason why French soldiers stopped wearing Red, White and Blue uniforms in WWI. Quote
Grand Admiral Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Great camo. There was a good reason why French soldiers stopped wearing Red, White and Blue uniforms in WWI. Cap is so badass he doesn't need camo. He brings the fight to them. Quote
Wanzerfan Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Any pics of the Red Skull. I think this is what you're looking for. New hi-res photos I think it's a pic of the Skull before he donned his mask. The reason why they didn't slap a N.A.Z.I. swastika on his arm is beyond me, since I think in the original comics the Skull didn't affiliate himself with Hydra until he got thawed well after WWII (I have to read his bio again at the Marvel website to be sure); Unless this is the Ultimate version of Cap (I haven't read any of the Ultimate Comics, so I'm guessing here). Swastika's aren't pc Red skull doesn't wear a mask unless your referring to the robot body he had/has. Ultimate Red skull is so not family friendly. Great camo. There was a good reason why French soldiers stopped wearing Red, White and Blue uniforms in WWI. Because the A on his head doesn't stand for France as Grand Admiral pointed out Edited January 15, 2011 by BeyondTheGrave Quote
Scream Man Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Skull DID Where a mask for a very long time. He was definitely wearing it in WW2. Aparently in this Hydra is like an offshoot of the nazis or something. Quote

Like more realistic. Quote

Aparently in this Hydra is like an offshoot of the nazis or something. It's also a fact that he was handpicked as a boy by Hitler himself to be the Nazi version of a Super Soldier. And, guys, in case you haven't guessed, I'm definately not P.C.; I believe in showing the truth about characters, no matter how ugly the subject matter their origins are. Grand Admiral Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 That is the stupidest most kiddie thing I have ever seen. That's because it's a photo of a halloween costume, not an actual movie costume. Quote
anime52k8 Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 (edited) http://www.darkhorizons.com/news/19098/costume-reveals-red-skull-look Dose anyone else think this looks just like a red version of Skeletor from the live action He-Man movie? Anybody? Edited January 19, 2011 by anime52k8 Quote

ae_productions Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 Here's the full photo off EW's website: 'Captain America' first look: Chris Evans in his full costume -- EXCLUSIVE That costume is outstanding. Sounds like we have a real movie on our hands. Most comic book adaptations suck monkey balls. MOST. But the good ones blow me away. I have a lot of hope for this one. Quote
troyness Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 I must admitt I haven,t followed Cap since the 80,s "streets of poision" mini-series which was great writting IMO. But I,m vagely aware of his ultimate counterpart, and I couldn,t comment on the costume variations on either... but as a novice I really like what I see. For the first part of the movie a WW2 period piece..I,m excited!!! Quote
Wanzerfan Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Did you know that The Incredible Hulk's Rick Jones once donned the Bucky uniform during a stint with Cap in the seventies? Quote
Guest sh002 Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 looks cool. maybe they could cg red skull's face like two-face in the dark knight. Quote

Nice, I really think (hope) this will turn out well. If the article is accurate then I like the direction/script they opted to go with. Thinking way down the line I wonder how the costume will look in the Avengers movie - hopefully not too much of a departure of what's been shown so far. -b. Quote
ae_productions Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Joe Johnston thought the film was fun and outstanding. But he directed the film, and I think he may be a little biased. Quote

Yeah, can you tell me what the hell is up with Marvel? The Avengers is probably the most sure fire hit they will ever have. Didn't they make enough with Iron Man to at least give us an Avatar budgeted Avengers? Quote
