Just imagine it: Rick Hunter lay dying on the bridge of the SDF-3 from a bite wound in the neck he received after one of his crewmen had gone crazy for no apparent reason. Rick knew it was too late to save him, and so he made a quick decision and handed the command to his most trusted ace pilot Tommy Yune. "Tommy ::cough cough:: pl..ease take care of my ship, which I love like a woman, and my wife ::cough cough::: whom I love like a ship. The Protoculture matrix is in your hands now, for only you can be relied upon to save the day. We built the machine for the fighting, the time has come to scramble veritech again". Then Rick was gone, he died right there in a pile of his own blood, his hand covering his wound. Tommy mourned over his loss, but gladly accepted his place in command. "Sorry Rick", he said as he looked down at the corpse. "Anything you can do I can do better!" Then as Tommy started to leave, he turned around and noticed Rick was no longer there. "What the-", Tommy thought. "Did his corpse just get up and walk away?" Then right when he turned back he saw Rick coming right at him! Tommy grabbed the first inanimate object he could find to use as a weapon. He grabbed an ashtray and started beating Rick over the head with it. Rick snarled and groaned louder as he tried to bite into Tommy's flesh. Tommy shoved him back and continued to assault the walking corpse with the ashtray. In his eyes, Tommy could see that Rick was no longer himself, but some kind of possessed being trying to kill him. Finally Tommy had had enough, tossed the ashtray and picked up a computer monitor, slamming it down hard on Rick's skull. He was dead, again. "Sorry Rick" he said. "I had to kill you again". Narrator: Admiral Hunter had given Tommy command over the Robotech Expeditionary Forces, but now that Tommy was in charge, he had something much worse to worry about now, the zombie apocalypse! He soon found out that the man who had bitten Rick had also bitten several others, and now they too were roaming around the SDF-3 as the living dead! Funny how the screenshots he uploaded merely serve to prove me right. This one is the most telling: Again, you'll see that the episodes are arranged by date rather than by popularity. Full download bars for all. And there they are...the illegally-uploaded Frontier songs. So someone goes to iTunes, knowing nothing about Bendo, downloads "Aimo," and Bendo claims that person as a fan of his. And yet again, the episode popularity meter shows that the Frontier songs are more popular than anything he's said himself. Also, I think it's really funny that he devoted a two-and-a-half-hour podcast to calling Jasonc a thief for uploading Tommy's pic of the SDF-4 (or whatever it was), and yet Doug himself is doing exactly the same thing here. By Doug's own definition, he's a thief. But hey...on the plus side, on Robotech X, I got three votes to go on his show! You are right about the Robotech Fandom, but not every fan is a nut job, nor do they praise HG for the disrespect of the originals. The drama in the fandom alone is a reason to say screw it, hell if you stop and think about it, the drama IS the only thing carrying the fandom aside from fan projects and false promises from HG. The RT fandom isn't worth it, and while I have said to hell with the fandom I still run an RT based forum thats meant for discussing the series pre Yune era, and of course the main reason is so my friends have a place to chill The fandom may be fuxed all to hell, but I sure made a lot of great friends =D

Aliens come to Earth, kick the crap out of Earth's greatest military powers, then leave. Earth spends the time licking their wounds and building weapons for the next alien invasion 10 months later. Sounds like a throw-away action flick. Hell, "EDF" might not even be the film's final title.

Yes, we do... after all, we've been watching the Robotech idiot brigade do precisely that ever since news of the movie deal first came to light back in 2007. Since there are no new info on the RTLAM, for RT fans anything that has nothing to do with Robotech can be a source of speculation. Oh, naturally... the Robotech fandom is nothing if not eager to accept baseless speculation by random fans over hard evidence from reliable sources. If it weren't for that, they would've had very little to talk about for the past 25-odd years. Endless retreads of the same handful of topics that already have official answers like "How does protoculture work?" and "Where was the SDF-2?" are, along with the periodic witch hunts, practically the official pastime of the Robotech fandom. They make up garbage like that because it's the only thing they can do, since Harmony Gold can't say anything about the Robotech live action movie project and Warner Bros doesn't seem to consider the film anywhere near as important as Harmony Gold wants the fans to think they do. Not to put too fine a point on it, but it's a fandom that subsists almost exclusively on fans BSing each other and being BS'd by the franchise owners... that they'd start BSing each other in the absence of actual news about a project allegedly in development is par for the course.
