maximilian_jenius
O_O wait a minute, is the VF-X non transformable test type? VF-X, Raven type (like the canon fodder color theme)? or a new VF-X valkyries series? :S (19A, 11B, 17S, etc in Ravens color) if is the VF-X Raven type, this only will be the same valk desing, same color theme in a new box :S
eriku
Ravens paintjob for the VF-11 perhaps? If so, sweeeeet.
m0n5t3r
cool. although i would prefer if it said VF-X2. also, price indicates that this could just be a VF-1/VF-1X(?)... still, it's pretty good news in terms of what could be next after this... Jasonc
Interesting, indeed. I'd like to see it when pics are available. Either way, it's pretty cool news.
nightmareB4macross
I really do hope it's original VF-X shown in the background during repairs to Roy's VF-1S. I just updated my gallery today, and then just noticed this post. I really hope Yamato makes every single Valkyrie scheme ever made.

GGemini
A dumb question.. What is the MF blog? The link on the Macross F website on the left hand side that says "blog". It takes you to this page: http://www.macrossf.com/blog/
ff95gj
Thanks! I couldn't relate VF-X with Macross Frontier so I didn't think about that... And I feel sad to see Macross Chronicle ends... When the 2nd part of MF movie hasn't been released yet. So it has been 2 years already...?
BlueMax
Yes... it has been 2 years since Macross Frontier 1st started airing (2 1/2 if we consider the Deculture edition as well)..... and guess what? The year after next will be the 30th anniversary of Macross.

Graham
IIRC, should be non-transforming VF-X prototype. Graham

Vostok 7
Hmmm, could Yamato be testing the water for a series of non-transformables? Interesting, though, considering it costs as much as a normal V2 with FAST packs.
Knight26
IF it is the non-Trans prototype, for a lower cost I would love to get it, otherwise...
hutch
I'll buy it if it's a new/altered mold. If it's just a non transformable VF-1 fuggetaboutit.
nexxstrait
Hey, look what we've got here It seems to me it could transform Edited May 14, 2010 by nexxstrait
ff95gj
Hey, look what we've got here It seems to me it could transform The MF site desc says special parts are made to make it non-transformable. (ironic to pay extra to pay it less functional!)
m0n5t3r
nice! liking the colors... if it does turn out to be non-transformable, maybe *somebody here can convince Yamato to change their mind about this. UN Spacy
The VFX-1 almost had the same amount of screen time as the VE-1.
eugimon
color scheme good, non transformable = pass.
raptormesh
Would be great if it has removable panels to show the internal frame and workings just like in the video. Otherwise not worth the money unless you really want a piece of Macross history.
Vostok 7
Want want want want want want want want want want!!!11!!!11! Tell me how.
Vi-RS
VF-X: Non-transformable variable-wing flight test version. VF-X-1: Transformable prototype developmental version. The VF-X is non-transformable predecessor of VFX-1. I am wondering how will Yamato do a flush intake on the existing mold. Ironically, many people will pass I guess. If this valkyrie is announced as web exclusive in HDP kit version for 200,000 yen, then people will start screaming how much they wanted it in a toy form. dizman
Thats pretty neat, as long as it has removable armor that reveals internal details I don't care if it transforms or not. It better not cost as much as a transforming valk but knowing Yamato its a web exclusive that costs $300.
Fly4victory
Wasn't the VFX just a VF without a head and a smooth underside? I'd have to dig the DVD's out of storage to watch the episode/flashback again. I am glad it is being made just wish it wasn't by Yamato since it cannot transform and will be overpriced. Seems like it would be a better project for Hasegawa's 1/48 and 1/72 VF series of models. It a bold move but think it will end up being a bad seller. Cyclone Trooper
Hmmm, could Yamato be testing the water for a series of non-transformables? Thought Yamato already did that and didn't sell very well...they were called Destroids.
Rabidweezil
People keep saying the destroids didn't sell well. Is that an official statement from Yamato or just an assumption? If it's an assumption I'm not sure where it came from. Sure HLJ had them on sale. But they have had lots of Valks on sale too.
ff95gj
That's why it's a made-to-order exclusive...
Graham
The main body should still be transformable. It should just have a few new parts such as the curved belly plate that covers the head area and possible (not sure), new forearms. Graham
nightmareB4macross
Hey, look what we've got here It seems to me it could transform Only major issue I have with this is that the two blisters at the nosecone should not be there at all. While the underbelly has not been seen yet, there should be no arms, head, or knee joints as this should remain non-transformable. The only piece attached to the underside is a curvacious plate from the back of the cockpit to the thrusters. The paint scheme is rather nice, and overall it is a very welcome display valkyrie. Good job, Yamato.
m0n5t3r
love that VF-1A whale hunter custom! ...i'd rather have that one in 1/60. plus the "view attachment pic upgrade" is a very welcome update to the site.
nightmareB4macross
Thanks. But to stay on topic here is a very crude correction of Yamato excellent photoshopping skills.
Vi-RS
Looking forward to see the bottom of this valkyrie.
