sketchley
This one: http://deagostini.jp/eva/ Heads up for those collecting it: I picked up the 2nd and 3rd (or 01 and 02) binders at my local bookstore yesterday. If you haven't mail ordered the binders yet, it may be worth hitting up the bookstores for them. At ¥990 for both, they're not exactly cheap, but they're not that expensive, either (compared to Macross Chronicle's binder, which is ¥1,780 each!) For those not collecting the series: it's up to #13 already, (#14 next Tuesday). From what I understand, the (two?) movie content starts from #31. I really want to get this series, but Kinokuniya in Los Angeles isn't carrying it (that I know of), and I really can't justify the expense right now. Still...most anime stores hang on to the back issues, don't they? I can make a sweep when I get to Tokyo again...
Einherjar
How different is this from the Evangelion books/magazines that came out back in the 90's?

If so, others (Renato, I think) said that it is essentially or exactly the same, except with much cooler binders. Therefore, you won't need to collect issues 01~30, and only need to collect 31~40, as it has the new movie(s) content; if I understand things correctly. No, I missed those, too...although I saw most if not all of the issues at a Book Off last year. Which is why I'm not terribly worried about not being able to snap them up . And, uh...it wasn't Renato, it was Tochiro: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...st&p=824219

Gubaba
Oops. It's okay. All you guys who live in Japan kinda blur together in everyone's mind, anyway.
sketchley
You too can join us, here. Though, if you don't come with skills (as in Japanese language ability and a background that can get you a job in something other than the English teaching profession), I don't recommend coming over right now. I'd wait until after the dust from the collapse of Geos settles.

sketchley
Alright, we're up to issue #28 as of today. It also has the first ad for the #31+ series (the new EVA movies). You can check it out, as well as the design of the binder on the inside of the back cover. So... in 3 weeks, the "new" content of the Evangelion Chronicle should be started. Does anyone know if it'll remain weekly, or if it'll change to a biweekly schedule?
