Skull-1 Posted November 20, 2003 Posted November 20, 2003 What the heck is wrong with my Max? I can't get the backpack to stay up with the Super booster pack attached. Any ideas?
Montarvillois Posted November 20, 2003 Posted November 20, 2003 Are you using the part provided with your strike pack that was made to strengthen the hold of the assembly. There's been many threads about this already.
Skull-1 Posted November 20, 2003 Author Posted November 20, 2003 Which part? I hate that I can't read Japanese and my attempts to search are not working. The search engine isn't doing anything. "We are unable to find any items to display." GRRRR.
Skull-1 Posted November 20, 2003 Author Posted November 20, 2003 Got it! I couldn't figure out how to make it work. I wasn't using the hinge part to hold the back pack to the head plate hatch. Stupid me. Thanks!
bsu legato Posted November 20, 2003 Posted November 20, 2003 There's also a funny looking white piece that'll help hold it all together. It fits in behind the battroid's neck. I don't know how else to describe it....it's a white thing that doesn't appear to have any purpose.
Skull-1 Posted November 20, 2003 Author Posted November 20, 2003 Yep. I was putting that thing on but not using the hook spade to hold the backpack to the thing that funny thing holds... Urp.... Now if I can just figure out how to get Max to hold the gunpod straight...

Mechamaniac Posted November 20, 2003 Posted November 20, 2003 Now if I can just figure out how to get Max to hold the gunpod straight... Alas, that is impossible with the spindly 1/48 hands.
Montarvillois Posted November 20, 2003 Posted November 20, 2003 There is actualy a fix for the weak hands. You just need to insert a small piece of plastic used to tie down toys in their packaging. Just remove the little metal wire from the enveloppe and use the enveloppe to stick in the wrist pivot (god my english sucks...) anyways, just click the link below to see the article in ToyboxDX Link to ToyboxDX link to hand fix
CF18 Posted November 20, 2003 Posted November 20, 2003 Now if I can just figure out how to get Max to hold the gunpod straight... Alas, that is impossible with the spindly 1/48 hands. It's possible: http://toyboxst.inwards.com/rumblizer/view...?article_key=72 Not a complete fix but that helps alot.
Mechamaniac Posted November 20, 2003 Posted November 20, 2003 LOL, perhaps I should have said. That's impossible with the STOCK spindly 1/48 hands. If you mod them, or replace them as I did, then you'll be OK.
Nightbat Posted November 20, 2003 Posted November 20, 2003 you might also wanna heat the triggerfinger and bend it 'till it's 90 degrees, this will increase the grip on the gunpod
Roy Focker Posted November 20, 2003 Posted November 20, 2003 Gee what about that Pinned topic on repairs?
