sketchley Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 RM++ Project: Technology 17B: EX-Gear (Extender Gear): http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Trans/MCRtechnology/MCRtechnology.php - there's that sport version of the EX-Gear getting mentioned again. Anyhow, a bunch of names for the different EX-Gear standards - can't remember if they've been mentioned before, or not. Complete: Mechanic: Zero AUA 03A: Auerstedt: http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Trans/MCRmechanic/MCRmechanic.php#M0 Mechanic: M Zentraadi 08A: Battleships of the Zentraadi Forces: http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Trans/MCRmechanic/MCRmechanic.php#SDFM - no changes between the versions, though the translation have been cleaned up. sketchley Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 RM++ Project: Character Plus Citizen 04A: Jan Neumann: http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Trans/MCRcharacter/MCRcharacter.php#M+ - quite a few changes between the editions - a lot more than I was expecting! It's interesting to find out more about the support staff - but just like the series, there's really not that much shown on them. Character F Citizen 01B: Ranka Lee: http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Trans/MCRcharacter/MCRcharacter.php#MF - not quite as many changes, but still a LOT more than expected. The RM on her relationship with Mr. Sterne was interesting. Quote
Scream Man Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 ooo, look forward to seeing a big shot of the SDF-2! Quote
sketchley Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 RM++ Project: Timeline 25A: Memories Of Roy Fokker (M): http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Trans/MCRtimeline/MCRtimeline.php - more interesting than initially thought - especially one of the RM's implications for the rest of the world. History FB 01A: Lynn Minmei Good-bye Concert: http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Trans/MCRhistory/MCRhistory.php#FB - even more interesting. If you wanted to know about Minmei's origin, what probably happened to her parents, and her fate, this is the sheet for you. Quote
VF-15 Banshee Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Uh Sketchley, your website seems to have gone on the fritz. Quote
sketchley Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 (edited) Yeah, not sure what's going on with it (as it's something that's not in the fine print). Apparently it's the php and CSS that are using more than the allocated server resources for that stuff (or worse, webbots and DoS attacks!). Which is frustrating, as it means either removing the php includes and CSS (requiring each and every page to be reedited (which makes future formatting changes all that more difficult) or find a new host. I'm not looking forward to either solution. Nevertheless, ALL of the content is still on my PC (and apparently still on the host's servers) - so, once a solution presents itself, it should be available in more or less the same format. MacrossCN Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 (edited) Finally, some binder variants! image.jpg Damn... I already have bought 8 binders.... T T Edited September 2, 2013 by MacrossCN Quote
Renato Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 It seems those are slightly different because now they include sleeves to keep your covers, too. Quote
nexxstrait Posted September 3, 2013 Author Posted September 3, 2013 (edited) Will these new binders be available from HLJ? Anyway: covers from issues 34-36 Edited September 3, 2013 by nexxstrait Quote
sketchley Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 A bit more on those binders: both are: - ¥1,980 (tax included) per binder - include 40 "pockets" for preserving 40 issues worth - the pockets can not be separated - they are the same size as the other binders in the series - limited to a print run of 1,000 (that's each binder. Total of 2,000 are being printed). Quote
Gubaba Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 To add to what Sketchley said... technically, they're for storing the covers of the Chronicle (which is why they come with the clear "pockets," which is why they cost more). You could, I suppose, remove the pockets and use them for the Chronicle pages themselves, but that's not really what they're there for. Quote
Rabidweezil Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Does it say the cover binders will be available everywhere, or are they an shop/online exclusive? I assume with the limited run it will be the latter, but you never know. Thanks in advance! Quote
Bub Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 You could be right... New binders? Anyone can answer if we're having new art design in the future binders? If we're not having new art design, I'm securing five more of the existing ones. They won't. They'll all be the same. ... Time to milk the cow!! Again!! Finally, some binder variants! image.jpg Great news, but not for those who have the 8 binders already... Unless those are only for the covers. Is it really confirmed? To add to what Sketchley said... technically, they're for storing the covers of the Chronicle (which is why they come with the clear "pockets," which is why they cost more). You could, I suppose, remove the pockets and use them for the Chronicle pages themselves, but that's not really what they're there for. I guess they're not milking it since they're printing only a limited amount and they're supposed to be for covers. These are for the real completists. Quote

locidm Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Thanks for the info. I hope HLJ carries them. Speaking of HLJ, issue 34 hasn't been up for pre-order yet. Little concerned that they will all the sudden stop carrying it but staying optimistic. Quote

sketchley Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 Partial: Technology 07A: Over-Technology: http://sketchleytranslation.host-ed.me/MCRtechnology/MCRtechnology.php - most surprising is the clarification that the General Galaxy Co. is not the Otec Co. <- previous materials had indicated that it was! Anyhow, you have to love any thing that mentions 'space metals'. That's almost as classic as Spock's, "it could be a beaker full of death." Full: Mechanic: TF ETC 03A: VF-27γSP Lucifer: http://sketchleytranslation.host-ed.me/MCRmechanic/MCRmechanic.php#TMF - lots of fun. Surprisingly, there's a lot of stuff on the Goblin II. Quote
