areaseven Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 On a side note, someone on YouTube did a "Hi-Res" mod on the Super Fumina kit. Do a search on it, if you dare. Quote
Big s Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 I just got my revive og gundam real type web exclusive and I do love the box. It's mainly a recolor of the standard gundam but oddly enough it has waterslide decals on a hg kit, but almost no stickers. There are a few foil stickers for eyes and sensors. I really hate stickers so I'm happy about waterslide decals, but it's strange that there are no stickers. From the way the kit is packaged it seems like they really wanted to give an eighties model kit feel, and maybe that's why they didn't use stickers. I hope more hg kits other than the three real types get waterslide decals, but I think it really shouldn't be that big a deal to put both types of markings like with the Star Wars kits. Quote

I hope more hg kits other than the three real types get waterslide decals, but I think it really shouldn't be that big a deal to put both types of markings like with the Star Wars kits. The foil stickers are directly from the standard kit; only the recolor and water slide decals give the '80s feel. As Bandai has targeted the HG line to a more general audience (mainly beginners), they see foil stickers being more economical than water slide decals. Besides, the majority of HG collectors play with their kits a lot and are not familiar with water slide decals and topcoating. In the past, Bandai did market a water slide decal series called Gundam Decal, but they stopped with the RG Gundam Mk-II because of slow sales. You can still order them online; in addition, there are third-party decal sheets for newer kits available on eBay and other online shops. In the case of the Star Wars kits, they have both stickers and water slide decals because most Star Wars kit collectors are already used to the MPC and Revell kits of the past. Quote

dizman Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 I'm suddenly interested in how that partnership will work seeing as a P-Bandai HG Zeta Plus C1 was just announced. http://gundamguy.blogspot.com/2016/08/p-bandai-exclusive-hguc-1144-zeta-plus.html Quote
kajnrig Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 (edited) I was talking about this in the M-Delta thread as well (with links to other discussions in other forums): http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=43414&p=1298661EDIT:With regards to your question, dizman, there's this post from the Gundam Eclipse discussion: With from japan, you just need to paste the url from the p-bandai site on the search bar. They then send the first charge which is item price + fee. You don't have to pay straight away but it will automatically get cancelled after 3 months of no payment. I'm guessing shipping charge will be after they get the item from p-bandai.With Samurai I had to send a question with the link in this question. They just told me they can get it and ask if I want it. No quote yet about fees, shipping, etc.Hope that helps. Edited August 27, 2016 by kajnrig Quote

Beltane70 Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 I've never seen the Bawoo look so sexy! Would I be correct to assume that the Gunpla boxes that look like monochrome photocopies of the full-color boxes are the P-Bandai kits? Quote

Beltane70 Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 For years, I always thought those kits were either knock-offs or used kits that didn't have their original boxes! Quote
mikeszekely Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 RE/100, meh. Gimme a HG Revive Bawoo. Quote
Big s Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 I was hoping the re100 line would only use subjects bandai hasn't made into a plastic kit, but some pics of this do look good and others make it look like the arms are too long or the connection at the waist is loose. Hopefully the final bawoo fixes that. And most of the exclusive kits have a cheap recolor box like if they did the box in blue and white or green or whatever color, but some have very different boxes like the new real type versions of the revive gundam, guncannon and gouf. David Hingtgen Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 All that, and the eye is still just a pink sticker? Quote
Big s Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 I think the eye is a clear piece with a sticker for color and a flat curved piece over that. A drop of clear color pink or red would make it look better. Quote
dizman Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 I hope the psycho zaku has a good looking full inner frame and that a P-Bandai hangar is released for it like the FA Gundam got. I'd really love to display it bare bones like in the ova. Quote
Big s Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Since it has the garbage bag joint covers I'm pretty sure the inner frame will be on the skinny under detailed side, like the thunderbolt gundam inner frame. Quote
