areaseven Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 HGs have really gotten impressive in the last few years, but that thing has every advancement in the book. Let's be honest: somebody really loved the Gyan to put that level of development in. You have Gundam Build Fighters to thank for that. Quote
dizman Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Wow they keep hitting these Revive kits outta the park, what a time to be a 1/144 gunpla fan! Quote

areaseven Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Thats a nice set-up and shot! Thanks. Need to work on my cloud chasing, though. Quote
Hikuro Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 1 Day build of the RGM-79(G) Mastergrade. lined and weathered, love how it came out! Quote
areaseven Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Another RX-78-2 Gundam kit? Just how many of these do we need?Actually, this is the Assembly Experience Meeting Ver. (組立体験会Ver.) kit that appears to be some promo item at Gundam Front Tokyo. It's essentially a First Grade version of last year's HGUC kit. 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam (組立体験会Ver.) Quote
areaseven Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Finally completed my RG Zeta Gundam. It's pretty complex, but not as nightmarish as other people claim it is. The articulation is slightly below the other RG kits because of its transformation gimmick. Speaking of which, you will need a lot of patience to get the transformation right; if you already have the MG Ver.2.0 kit, you know what to expect.Overall, it's the best 1/144 Zeta Gundam kit, but that's because the HGUC kit is a floppy mess. And here's a comparison with the old 1990 HG kit and the 2003 HGUC kit. Quote
mikeszekely Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 I had issues with the RG Zeta, but it was the first Gunpla I'd seriously built. I found it to be much easier when I later built the RG Z-3, but it's still a fiddly enough kit that I didn't and won't bother to transform either. Quote
areaseven Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 And now for a cheap re-enactment of the final battle between Kamille and Scirocco. Quote
dizman Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 I still like that old HG Zeta, something about all the harsh angles just screams 80's mecha to me. Quote
areaseven Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 A few shots of the RG Zeta Gundam with the HGUC ZII and HGBF Lightning Zeta Gundam. Quote
electric indigo Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 The Zetas definitely have the edge over the other Gundam lines... FYI, the Zeta Gundam Decals will be available again soon. Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 RG Sinanju is up on HLJ now! http://hlj.com/product/BANN07590 no bazooka = P-bandai Quote
Big s Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Thanks for the heads up, preordered a Hyakushiki hg as well. Quote
chyll2 Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 that black piece is like an evil spirit saying: Buy me, you have no excuse now not to buy a Sinanju Quote
areaseven Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 As I said earlier, I hope it's compatible with the HGUC Neo Zeong. Quote
mikeszekely Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Speaking of Sinanju, does anyone have any extra decals for one, like maybe if you guy the waterslides for the MG and didn't use the decals it came with? Could use some for a project. Quote
anime52k8 Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 sorry, I only bought the water slides because I fraked up the dry transfers. Quote
areaseven Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Better save up for August. HGBF 1/144 ZZII HGBF 1/144 Gyancelot HGUC 1/144 MSN-00100 Hyaku Shiki (Revive) HGIBO 1/144 Still Unnamed Gunpla RG 1/144 MSN-06S Sinanju Quote

Big s Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 (edited) Speaking of Sinanju, does anyone have any extra decals for one, like maybe if you guy the waterslides for the MG and didn't use the decals it came with? Could use some for a project. Most of the old decals are being rereleased, hobby search has them listed for preorder on their gundam section. The hg sinanju is listed for sure, but I'm not completely sure about the mg although some of those sets listed are for mg kits and the mg sinanju may be on there. Edited June 3, 2016 by Big s Quote
chyll2 Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 or you can use generic marking from HIQparts. They have something that scales with 1/144 and 1/100. Quote

Right now they have the HG decals for preorder; the MG labels are still listed as "long sold out." But maybe they'll get a re-release later? I'll keep an eye. or you can use generic marking from HIQparts. They have something that scales with 1/144 and 1/100. That wouldn't be a bad suggestion, but I'm interested in markings that are specific to Sinanju. See, I got one of those Lunar White Xbox One controllers. Not a fan of the gold d-pad on an otherwise black-and-white controller. So took it apart and swapped the d-pad with a standard black controller... but while I had the controllers apart I painted the black faceplate with the same paint I used on my HGUC Sinanju. The now black, red, and gold controller reminds me of Sinanju, so I was hoping I could get some markings like a Neo Zeon emblem and the 10S that goes on the skirt to really make it a Sinanju controller. Guest davidwhangchoi Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 so who on Macross World is getting RG Sinanju (raises hand) Quote
mikeszekely Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 so who on Macross World is getting RG Sinanju (raises hand) I do all the RGs (even if my Wing is still sitting in the box), so I'm in even if I do consider the HGUC the highlight of my Gunpla collection. Not preordering though. I'll get it some time after release. Quote
mog_kupo Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Got my RG Sinanju preordered too And after a while finally got mora Tamiya paints to finish my RG Wings and the new RG 00 Qan wich I recived today Quote
badboy00z Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 The RG Sinanju is what the MASTER grade should have been. Quote
areaseven Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 A quick photoshoot of my Nu Gundam Family. From left: SD Gundam BB Senshi #007 RX-93 Nu Gundam (1988), Vintage CCA 1/144 #8 RX-93 Nu Gundam (1988), HGUC 1/144 #086 RX-93 Nu Gundam (2008), SD Gundam BB Senshi #387 RX-93 Nu Gundam (2014).On a side note, my mom and sister just arrived from Japan last night and brought me the old 1/144 Nu Gundam kit that I ordered over there. What I didn't realize was that it was a second-hand kit that was partially painted on the runners, so finishing someone else's job was a new challenge for me. Quote
kajnrig Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 One major gripe with the RG Sinanju, though (at least from the pics): Why beveled edges? Say what you will about how problematic the HGUC and MG are, at least their gold and black form suitably sharp angles with each other. The RG has noticeable and ugly crevasses along the border between black and gold parts. Quote
Big s Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 I love the artwork on the old CCA kits my favorites are the Sazabi and the 1/100 nu Gundam fin funnel, although I love them all. Quote
