dizman Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Haha poor guy, guess he shoulda built the kid a strike freedom. Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 (edited) the kid probably needs a slap by hikaru 80's style. Edited March 10, 2014 by davidwhangchoi Quote
Bobby Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 just wanted to share a custom mod i made from something i picked up from the FS thread here. for all intents and purposes it should probably be called a mass production RGM-O. the truth is i just like red gundams Quote
dizman Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Neat idea! Good job on the custom, thanks for sharing. Quote

Bobby Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 (edited) not sure if this fits in this thread to share but hope so since 'the workshop' seems macross only. i had picked up a PG 1/60 Aile Strike from the FS thread here and did some modding. i always wanted a large scale, fully poseable, w/open hatch capability, glowing (photoshopped) Temjin! close313 Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 Nice, plus gundamguy just posted prototype pics of MG Turn X. Quote
anime52k8 Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 (edited) That is so sexy. And a RG Z'gok sounds awesome too, Chars Z'gok is still my all time favorite UC suit. Edited March 18, 2014 by anime52k8 Quote
Kelsain Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 I've never seen Turn-A, but that's awesomely cool. Very MassEffect-y (I know, ME drew inspiration from Syd Mead). I can't wait to see it in some dynamic poses, b/c it feels like those plates should all shift around. Quote
close313 Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 I've read at hobbysearch that there're display stands for Turn X's splitting up mode. Is that correct? Quote
electric indigo Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 Taghobby in online again, so here's a bigger pic: The recent MGs have really good proportions. Quote

Syd Mead DID design Turn X after all XD !He mentioned that it was his best creation for the series. Quote

Phyrox Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Taghobby in online again, so here's a bigger pic: The recent MGs have really good proportions. PRE-Fukin'-ORDERED! Although his hand looks a tad too small, and his feet seem slightly too big (but that could be because I'm so used to the 1/144 version). They really should have more series with non-generic-gundam designs. Pretty much MSG and Zeta/ZZ and Turn A are the only ones with out of the box designs. Quote
Hikuro Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 preordered as well since I have Turn A. I'm kinda curious though if they'll do this though: Use the LED system they've done on certain kits to let the translucent parts glow a pale green. That would be kind of neat! Quote
close313 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Im really interested in what those shoulder pylons are supposed to be. Hopefully its something functional. Quote
lechuck Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 (edited) Just sharing my latest build. Nothing special, if you look closely you will probably spot mistakes. I welcome thoughts and feedback. Pretty fun build, but you can tell it's an old kit with its reliance on polycaps and faux ankle hydraulics and some minor alignment issues. Articulation is ok for an old kit like this, legs and arms are not double-jointed and there is limited sideways twist for the legs. Inner frame mainly consist of legs, waist and chest. For the arm/shoulder section they supply these rubber covers to make it look anime accurate, but contrary to popular opinion I am personally not a fan of them. They seem to cause resistance in shoulder movement and I fear they might eventually tear. As for aesthetics, well you can't go wrong with an Izubuchi design, so kibble-free. Although I am not too fond of those wide "sponge" feet Bandai gave the kit. Edited March 22, 2014 by lechuck Quote

Hikuro Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Has there been a change in the way the Gundam markers work? I bought one months ago and just finally started using it after I bought the Victory Gundam type 2 kit at a local store. And I noticed the ink wipes off REALLY easily making the lines look so less thick than they use too. I remember once that stuff was on there it was on there, you had to take a special eraser or something to knock it down and it smeared. So It's just interesting to see this. I'll take a picture or something to show it, but very interesting. I need to go get a Q-tip though to get those really tight areas. Quote
close313 Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 The MOST EPIC boxart I've seen so far! It's really a beauty and the buying point for me. I love that it's labeled as "Correct Century". I'd love to see the boxart if they were to make the other mobile suits such as the Sumo, Turn X ,Flat and many more! http://gundamguy.blogspot.sg/2014/01/hgcc-1144-gundam-new-images.html Quote
electric indigo Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 I just finished the HGUC Victory 1. A great little kit. I modded the elbow joints for a simpler look and replaced the kit's hands with Bandai Builders Parts size S hands. Decals are from the Unicorn set. Size reference: Quote
