Wanzerfan Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 God, so far does this game look pretty, and the controls are like the first two games (I didn't get a chance to finish the second game before starting III; sad, isn't it?). I only got to the point of the Poesiedon boss fight before I had to turn it off, so I didn't play enough to give a full reveiw. Linda Hunt is back as Gaia (boy does she ever get f*cked up during the tutorial level) as well as the actor that did Kratos. I'll post a full review later. Quote
areaseven Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 Let me guess: You just want to buy it for the Aphrodite scenes, right? Quote
Metal_Massacre_79 Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 I've already beaten it, but I loved every minute of it. The graphics are the best I've seen on a video game. The music is great. The voice overs were good but there were spots that didn't seem like the fit too well. The puzzles are probably my favorite part of the game, especially the Labyrinth. And there's something about watching Kratos rip Helios's head off that is both terrifying and friggin' cool at the same time. Quote
Wanzerfan Posted March 29, 2010 Author Posted March 29, 2010 The Poesiedon death scene was quite disturbing to say the least. Where else do you get to see an eye-gouging from the victim's first-person perspective? Right now I just entered Hades domain, and am enjoying the game. Quote
Metal_Massacre_79 Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Just wait until you get to Hercules. Hermes is another good one to watch. Are you picking up the "godly possessions" as you beat each god? Quote
Wanzerfan Posted April 4, 2010 Author Posted April 4, 2010 (edited) Well, I just rescued Pandora from the cube that floods with water , and I have to tell you, it was one of the most difficult puzzles in the game (the puzzle itself was rather easy to solve, completing it without dying multiple times was a pain in the ass). I have to give it to David Jaffe and the team for some rather sick, and logical, puzzles. And speaking of difficult areas of the game, I must've died about 20 times in Chronos' esophagus trying to climb up and out before I realized I needed to slide down into the stomach to avoid dying in an Indiana Jones-styled scene. Oh, and I may be a little stinker for saying this, I do have both Aphrodite minigames archived, if you know what I mean. The sickest death so far was Hermes' so far, with Hercules' a close second. The only godly possession I missed so far was Hades, I believe. I thought I missed Posiedion's but I got it later on in the game. Edited April 4, 2010 by Wanzerfan Quote
