derex3592 Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Thanks for the link! Just put in my preorder! YES!! Thanks! order about to be placed! I was just beginning to wonder about this poor little guy!!! Bring on Mr. Officer Pod!!! Quote
Guest sh002 Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 what would be kinda cool is if they released 1/100 vinyl zentradi figures along with the regult that you could display next to it. if it could go inside that would even be cooler. Quote
Keiichi Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 Anyone have some more pictures/impressions of the Heavy Artillery Regult to share? Thinking of adding one to my pile of loot over at BBTS. What sort of articulation (if any) does the missile pod have? Also, has anyone tried using a Tamashii Stage Act 5 display stand to hold up a Regult? Have a couple of those on the way and it'd be fun if they could support the Regult. Quote
derex3592 Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 Soooooo thread BUMP to see if anyone has heard anything about a release date for the next one of these??? Pre-Order said late Jan release date---and nothing! And also any updates on the Glaug????? Quote
jenius Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 Um, are you still putting any sort of faith into toynami release dates? Are you new to the hobby? i mean, I hope you've at least gotten refunds on your Shadow Beta and Marcus Shadow Fighter by now. I guess that's a very snarky way of saying "No" but the good news is that Toynami will be at the toy fare in NY this weekend so you'll probably get news then. Quote

Let's not forget the 1:10 Masterpiece Lancer and the 1:10 Masterpiece Rook cyclones... But to give Toynami credit, there is still talks about the possibility of an MP Shadow Beta. Maybe. The other 3 battlepods were released more or less on time. I would NEVER buy Shadow Chronicles CRAP anyway. Thanks for the snarky response though! You're a funny guy. Chet Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 I just opened the regular Regult I bought this weekend and I absolutely love it! No problems with parts falling off so far. Great work, Maiden Japan and Toynami! Now my question is: is it within the realm of possibility that you take this existing design - not changing a thing, not even articulation - and blow it up to a larger scale? Perhaps 1/60 or *gasp!* 1/48? It could be a limited production run and you could sell it at a proportionally but reasonably higher price. I'd be interested to hear the thoughts of other collectors on such a product. Quote
DarrinG Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 My first thought is no on 1/60 or 1/48. I only collect 1/60 but the lack of detail in a vinyl toy like that would seriously show when posed with Yamato's larger, very awesome, scales. Toynami's 1/100 is great for their line of valks and maybe Bandai Hi-Metal, but if I was going for a pod with my V2s I would build or commission one of Imai's 1/72 pod kits that were recently re-issued. With anime magic the 1/72 kit should look quite good with the 1/60s... Quote
derex3592 Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 any news on a release date of the light artillary pod????? Robowreck.com still says "shipping late Jan." LOL. Quote
Chet Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 I was thinking they could market a 1/60 Regult as "DX" sized, then a 1/48 version as a "Jumbo!" They could even make it out of polyethylene! Quote
jenius Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 I wish they would send me free toys to review! Quote
ff95gj Posted March 16, 2011 Author Posted March 16, 2011 any news on a release date of the light artillary pod????? Robowreck.com still says "shipping late Jan." LOL. Me too expecting it. And the GLAUG!!!!!!! Quote
HoveringCheesecake Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 I ordered the backordered Battlepod last fall, and the credit card I used has since been canceled due to identity theft. I'll let them figure it out. Why even list the item if you aren't going to ever get any in? Oh, right, it's robotech.com. Quote
fifbeat Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 Yeah, you figured the webmaster at robotech.com would login and make a simple 2 second update. Waiting as well. Quote
Lobizon Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 The Zentraedi Light Artillery Battlepod now has a updated ship date of June 2011 http://www.robotech.com/store/viewproductpreord.php?id=380 Quote
KiriK Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 (edited) FYI, in case anyone needs a green heavy artillery Regult Battlepod, they are on sale on BBTS for only $6.50!!!! http://www.bigbadtoy...458&mode=retail Edited April 17, 2012 by KiriK Quote
mechaninac Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 The toy itself isn't half bad, specially for the price, even at MSRP. The EPIC FAIL comes in their handling of release schedules; had they delivered on time and interspersed other Zent Mecha in the line up to add variety -- after all, a Regult is a Regult is a Regult, no matter what beanie hat it's wearing-- the whole 1/100 thing could have been so much better for the fans and likely profitable for them. But this is a Toynamy-HG collaboration... so the point-gun-at-foot-and-pull-trigger business philosophy is their operating standard. Quote
ff95gj Posted April 18, 2012 Author Posted April 18, 2012 At this price point I actually like them. I still need the GLAUG! Quote
SpaceCowboy Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 I bought two at that price - thanks for the heads up! Really want the Glaug - any word on it? I did a quick search last night and it was supposed to come out over a year ago. Has it been cancelled because of poor sales of the Regult? Quote
ErikElvis Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 I bought 2 too. Just because. I bought 2 too. Just because. They upped em to $10 now... Quote
DarrinG Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 Great to see them EVERYWHERE for $10 or less now. Should have sold my one pod a few months ago. So much for getting to see Inbits or other obscure baddies... Quote

DarrinG Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 Well that's nice: "Only Substandard Available" That's the whole toy line so we're all in luck... Quote

I did a quick search last night and it was supposed to come out over a year ago. Has it been cancelled because of poor sales of the Regult? As far as I remember, the last Robotech Tour stop stated the Glaug is still on its way. The question of when is the tricky part as they're not allowed to say at this time and it's probably gonna be stuck on a boat in China like last year's Pod. Quote
KiriK Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Hahah, couldn't resist buying some for only $6.50 each. Army builiding time! Quote
DarrinG Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Too bad people didn't buy them like that at full price - we could maybe get some Invids or Glaugs one day... Quote
EXO Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Yeah. Well... Too bad for Toynami for running the license to the ground. Those were suppose to be toys at one point. Quote
ps99042 Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Kirik, you are giving me ideas on a new display...I just need to clear out some space first... Quote
Tking22 Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 So is the glaug dead at this point or what? I mean we've seen the prototypes, is the toynami vinyl line officially dead? Quote
