DarrinG Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Would much rather have him snarling and attacking. Howz that going to look on the shelf by our white 1Js? Are they in between takes? Resting? Quote
DarrinG Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 I guess I could get an extra Kak VF-1A and cave the head in, and he could be standing over the kill in victory... Quote
pfunk Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Did Yamato have the guys at HG design this thing? Quote

Pterobat Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Dude, have you seen the original Britai action figure that Matchbox made? This thing looks a lot better, and I'm also hoping it doesn't fall by the wayside. Quote
DarrinG Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 What if they included a smashed VF-1A head unit with Britai? Quote
Vi-RS Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 What if they included a smashed VF-1A head unit with Britai? The original scene: Quote
DarrinG Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Not sure - maybe they will read this and give him a reduction. But I was serious about wanting a tan, smashed 1A head accessory... Quote
Jasonc Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Not sure - maybe they will read this and give him a reduction. But I was serious about wanting a tan, smashed 1A head accessory... If you buy one of the unassembled 1A kits, you can beat that head to a pulp, and then recreate the scene. Thinking of doing that, as I have an extra head, if this ever comes out. Quote
DarrinG Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 Not sure I could rationalize getting one of those kits to have a 1A head to smash in. I would go as high as $20 for that little accessory, no more But I'm not sure this enemy Softbi is going to be worth it in the finished product. We'll (soon?) see... Quote
Scream Man Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 I always liked Bretai, so i would be up for this. Quote
EXO Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 I just reread the title of this thread. Can't believe this was suppose to be released in 2010. When was the last time we saw any prototype pic at a show? Quote
Roy Focker Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 I just reread the title of this thread. Can't believe this was suppose to be released in 2010. When was the last time we saw any prototype pic at a show? Yeah that was two years ago. It could just be cancealed. Quote
jenius Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 It's not cancelled, it's now going to be an HDP kit and cost $300. Yes, I'm joking. Quote
Jasonc Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Does anyone have confirmation on the status of this project? Is it officially vaporware at this point, or are they prioritizing this and putting it on the back burner? Quote
pud333 Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 (edited) I'd love one of these, but not as any kit or anything like that. Must be completed toy for me to buy. I suck at models and kits. Edited June 16, 2012 by pud333 Quote
Phalanix Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Don't understand why Yamato can't just make a PVC figure, they have a decent line of anime figures already. Quote
VF5SS Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Don't understand why Yamato can't just make a PVC figure, they have a decent line of anime figures already. Britai doesn't look good enough in heels to sway that crowd. Quote
Phalanix Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Britai doesn't look good enough in heels to sway that crowd. Yamato can include a paper bag to fit over his head as a bonus accessory. Quote
UN Spacy Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 I just heard from a little birdy this is canceled. Quote
Reïvaj Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 I just heard from a little birdy this is canceled. Really? Quote
Jasonc Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 That's too bad, and pretty stupid. The sculpt is basically done, from what it looks like, and yet, it's been scrapped? Is there really not enough interest in this? Quote

sharky Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Yes, I guess there's not enough interested fans in Britai At least not a Boobarella version of him anyway. Quote
derex3592 Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 FAIL. I would have LOVE to seen all the Zent and Melt baddies done in 1:60 scale! Quote
Jasonc Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 I was hoping that when I start working on my own display room, that I had a section of all the Zentran/Meltran group, annnnnd of course, I'd like to do it without the help of the Matchbox toy figures. I'm not big on the Matchbox large Zentraedi with ape posable arms, nor the ugly macronized Miriya (nor the micronized one, for that matter). I want Yamato sculpted, anime accurate figures, damnit! Right now, all I have is a Milia 639 set, customized other Meltran females to go with it, and the T-Rex 1/60 Kamjin figure all painted up.If people bought that, how many more do you think would get a Britai Softbi? Quote
DarrinG Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 (edited) Post pics of your T-Rex (again) Jason! I was down for a Britai, just was wishing for a more dynamic pose... Edited August 17, 2012 by DarrinG Quote
