Big s Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 Just got my galient minipla sets in. I only opened one box, but it did include one of each galient kit. Quote

Mine is still on the way. Let me know what your initial impression of the kit. And how big it is against our lovable 1/60 Valks or 1/100 HM-R's. 5 hours ago, hachi said: Is this series good? The Anime series? For me, it was. Though I didn't get the chance to watch the OAV afterwards. Quote
Big s Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 The series is really good for the time. Some newer anime fans may not like it as much as the older dudes though. Quote

no3Ljm Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 Question. Was the Promaxis Mini-Pla has been released already? I can't seem to find where to preorder one. Quote
Big s Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 I'm not sure. I tried to find those a while back, but most places I looked didn't even offer a preorder. I don't know if they have already been released, but I would be interested. Quote

Big s Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 It's one of those issues with anyone reviewing older anime or sci-fi. They always say it's dull or slow, but if you have seen other anime from the time, you'll know what to expect. For an older anime fan it's pretty good. Quote

Big s Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 I'm the same on the promaxis. I couldn't find anyone doing a preorder and eBay has a really high mark up. l hope even more items come up in this series. Quote

Promaxis were Web Shop exclusive too and NY didn't carry it for some reasons. I know I want one, but I'm at that point that I have to rethink all the figures that I need since a lot is coming out and getting announced for next year so I have to make sure I'm not overspending out of impulse buying. Big s Posted October 27, 2017 Posted October 27, 2017 I really want this item, but the high price and almost $30 shipping cost for a minipla has got me torn. I still haven't made up my mind. Quote

no3Ljm Posted July 22, 2021 Posted July 22, 2021 In development. ThreeZero Robo-Dou GALIENT (Kelvin Sau Redesign) I know it's a redesign but I wish they will also incorporate the Big Falcon mode, Panzer Falcon mode, and Strike Vehicle mode. If they did, I will get 2. Quote

no3Ljm Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 Oooff. I was hoping that it's within the Robo-Dou price range. Looks like I'm just going to get one. I'm just glad that it can transform to Big Falcon mode, Panzer Falcon mode, and Strike Vehicle mode. sqidd Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 Is this : A stylized version of this: Or are they two different things? Quote

The first photo that ThreeZero's producing is a stylized version of the original Galient from the anime series. Whereas the second photo is the Galient featured in the OAV that doesn't transform. I haven't seen the OAV so I'm assuming it's the new Galient he used after the original. Quote

Did the character change/morph/advance or something in the storytelling? I'm not sure I'm asking the question right. Is the OVA one like a version one and the anime series like version two? Or did it just change with no explanation? Thanks Quote

The first 2 films are recap of the 25 episodes of the original series. The third film (Crest of Iron) is a 'reimagined' setting. They made some of the characters older and redesigned mechas. How I wish that Bandai will also release a Robot Damashii Galient TV version to go with the Crest of Iron one they released last 2018. Edited August 12, 2021 by no3Ljm Quote
no3Ljm Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 (edited) Hey @sqidd. In case you're interested with the ThreeZero Galient figure. BBTS already has it for preorder. https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/174243 Here's also the ThreeZero preorder page in case you prefer on getting it from them directly. https://www.threezerohk.com/product/robo-dou-galient-kelvin-sau-redesign/ Edited August 13, 2021 by no3Ljm Quote
Big s Posted August 14, 2021 Posted August 14, 2021 The OVA is a retelling of the story. Kinda like DYRL for Macross or the movie version of Escaflowne. I actually really love the OVA versions of all the mecha. Some things story wise are changed as well. I think there was a fan subtitle on YouTube for the series and OVA Quote
Big s Posted December 24, 2021 Posted December 24, 2021 I think I’ll pass this one up. I have the little minipla version and I kinda have a feeling a hgish posable kit will come out for it soon. The sirbine had a look that wouldn’t be easy to match any other way than a static kit, not that the Bandai hg doesn’t try. Quote
