Kaoi--that is last year's ToyFair you linked to. But they showed the Ent-B again this year---with the wrong nacelle endcaps (Excelsior style, not Ent-B style).

I think this thread needs moar away-team / beautiful people avatars. (It is half of the game after all, the half no ones cares about :p)

Here is "Team Fabulous" about to go tactical on some unsuspecting Nausicans in the other room. It's my standard setup. 2x Engineers + 1x Tactical up front, and I hang back with my Sci-Officer sniping away and respawning turrets, with always a nice double layer of mines surrounding my dudes. Before start of battle I always keep a concealed phaser turret next to the door for a nasty flanking surprise when I pull the enemy to my camp. I can't wait to get drones.

Ground battle is a nice change of pace, sometimes I burn out from just staring at my ship for too long. It's great when you flank an enemy with Sniper Shot for critical, and they evaporate like on the shows... I like the mechanics of away team missions, almost like a ghetto version of Mass Effect.

Yeah I noticed that after the fact, I read that they were releasing them, went to find pictures and posted, shoulda read more carefully.

Got Captain the other night, went for a slightly modded Galaxy with a bigger hull and busier neck. God, this thing handles like a floating innertube. Took a pic over my hometown in Anchorage, Alaska. They seem to be doing well in the 24th century. :D

you should, your character and stuff is tied to your cryptic account and not the game key

I like our fleet's name, simple, macross-ish, and tactical sounding. :)

I just got to Commander. After much dilly-dallying I picked a Heavy Escort. Went with a 50/50 Akira & Oslo design. Though I love the classic Akira build, I think a more elongated hull would make more sense for a ship with narrow forward firing arc. I present the USS Vigilant Tengu.

My Vulcan Federation character, T'Pal. CO of USS Relentless, NCC-93570, a LtCmdr at the time of this screenie. Just recently got her to Cmdr. My whole crew is decked out TWOK style, but to keep my character a bit different, elected to go with non-canon white trousers + maroon stripe. Interestingly and not by design, half my Bridge Officers, including the skipper, are Vulcan.

So many people already crying about DP. I suspect much /ragequit if it gets implemented.

Ensign set course to Azeroth system, maximum quit.

I'm a bit intrigued about the ability to trade officers. As an Engineer Commander who likes to fly Escorts, I would love to have a Tac BOFF with HYT & Rapid Fire III :p . Though the tier II for those skills are more than sufficient for my needs at the moment. I doubt that they'd implement it in a way that would allow for the scenario I just described.

First, this "late" in the game, death penalty seems like a bad afterthought. Why mess with a good thing. It's enjoyable now and adding it seems pointless. Secondly, it's way too easy to die multiple times in a few seconds depending on the situation. Some kind of death penalty could make that even easier.

I just need a respec.

I dunno, I think a DP could be good, heighten up the tension. I'd like it for it to be something like you can't use a BO for X amount of time rather than the usual loss of XP or whatever.

But yeah, I'm all for the respec, followed by a clarification of the whole skill tree

IMO, why add the DP? Right now it is very easy to get rolled and die multiple times in a short span. Most especially so if you're in a Escort type of ship. It's a pain in the ass already that your skill cooldowns do not reset on respawn.

I would have figured the devs find ways to ENTICE people to play PvP, not give them any more reasons to not try it. Especially for the KDF, since it is supposedly a "PvP oriented" faction.

I'm generally ok with some sort of DP (doesn't have to be exp-based, my preference would be financial like repair costs), but they should really fix some of the patrols so that the "Flagship Armada" is not hovering out the entry point for the zones, and pretty much ready to raep anything that happens to fly in.

Pretty much what I was referring to in my earlier post. Get snagged by an enemy contact and then die 14 times trying to get out of range.

I played the Infected "raidisode" mission yesterday. I came away with a mix of feelings. Some bits were good, others not so good. I feel the rewards aren't worth the effort.

Anyone else done it? Thoughts?

Didn't get too far into it with my KDF toon. I stopped playing there when I realized that the mission counters for beating those enemy signals / zones weren't working.

Still, it was kind of funny going into those areas with the Feds, and not trying to blow each other up. Hell, my Negv'har was geared for PvP tanking and with Extend Shields, I was saving many Fed players. Too bad support doesn't garner you points for loot.

Yeah... I got a /tell from a member saying that he was recruiting non-stop and he was asking to be promoted. within fleet.

Wasn't sure what to do, so I made him a Junior Officer :ph34r:

errr... so it's not people we actually know or have played with?

Correct... but I noticed that 2 or 3 left... give it a week, and players will be fleet jumping soon.

well, I won't be putting anything in the fleet bank until we get a hold on who's in and who's there to loot.
