Graham Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 URGENT - need a few screen captures from Macross 7 of the VF-11C flight suit, preferably where the colur of teh flight suit can be shown clearly. Graham Quote
Uxi Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Here's some I just snapped from M7 Remastered (patched), Ep 8, with Gamlin in the VF-11C flight suit. Any particular angles you're looking for? Quote
Graham Posted January 13, 2010 Author Posted January 13, 2010 That's great Uxi & Bri, thanks. Basically, something that clearly shows the color of the front of the flight suit. Graham Quote
eugimon Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 errr... doesn't yamato have their own macross geek guy? Quote
David Hingtgen Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Darn it, they didn't ask for pics of Mylene's valk... Quote
Uxi Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 They haven't done the pilot for the VF-11C yet? Or Graham trying to tell them they did it wrong with visual evidence? Quote
Graham Posted January 13, 2010 Author Posted January 13, 2010 They screwed up the color of the flight suit badly on the prototype. It looks really gay. Hopefully, there is time to change it. Not sure if the production run has started yet or not. I'm usually their go to guy if they have any questions. They don't have an in-house expert, although the Japanese Macross production manager is now (usually) pretty knowledgable. Graham Quote
Ghost Train Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 You guys are great.... doing pro-bono consulting work for a for-profit corporation . Quote
Uxi Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Should get him to post here (under an alias most likely). Quote
Uxi Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 You guys are great.... doing pro-bono consulting work for a for-profit corporation . The price I'll happily pay as a hobbyist to get something authentic, instead of something done wrong. Realistically, we could live with a mis-colored pilot, and probably won't make any difference to their bottom line, but us fans can have our cake and eat it, to. Quote
Graham Posted January 13, 2010 Author Posted January 13, 2010 OK, next request (sorry I'mat work ATM & don't have access to my M7 files). I need some screen captures showing the ciolor of the VF-11C space use Super Packs. I seem to recall the Super Packs being a dark bluish-grey, rather than just grey. Graham Quote
VFTF1 Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 They screwed up the color of the flight suit badly on the prototype. It looks really gay. Maybe there's a secret Pink Pecker Squadron enthusiast over at Yamato who has an axe to grind since they went with the CF instead of the Pink Pecker VF-11?? Pete Quote
Ghost Train Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Lol since yamato is relying on a fansite for info perhaps we should feed them info about noncanon paint schemes and pass them off as real designs. Quote
VFTF1 Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 That would be a GREAT IDEA if not for the fact that I think most of us LOVE the canon designs and are really picky about anime accurate products! Pete Quote

Graham Nor sure how accurate colorwise the Macross Mecha Manual is but this looks good to me: http://www.new-un-spacy.com/macross7/vf-11...11c-fighter.gif Quote
hutch Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Graham, did you succeed in "ungaying" the VF-11C pilot? Quote
