Veifwan Es Posted November 16, 2003 Posted November 16, 2003 From what I've seen, Palisades has some major talent in their sculpting dept. I've always came away impressed...just look at their Alien Queen. Definently a company to watch out for... Quote

CID Posted November 16, 2003 Posted November 16, 2003 That is beauty. I have several G-1 TF that I owned when I was 11 or so and I never look back at it. But, this one really is good looking . Thanks for the post. Quote
Ladic Posted November 16, 2003 Posted November 16, 2003 just awesome. Any info on when it will be released and price? Quote
Mr March Posted November 16, 2003 Posted November 16, 2003 I don't like transformers anymore and haven't since I was a kid, but I can't tell you how much I admire the articulation on that toy. Very impressive seems like an understatement. Quote
danster69 Posted November 16, 2003 Posted November 16, 2003 Wow that needs to be made into a transforming MPC Soundwave!! Quote

sidearmsalpha Posted November 16, 2003 Posted November 16, 2003 That Soundwave looks cool, but, in reality, why would he have those ridged sliders on the back of his forearms? Are you telling me that he couldn't make his own hands pop out so he had to ask Starscream or Megatron help him get his hands out?! Quote
David Hingtgen Posted November 16, 2003 Posted November 16, 2003 Hey, he had to reach over and push his own eject button to let his cassettes out. Soundwave must be an older TF, with little automation. Quote
Nightbat Posted November 16, 2003 Posted November 16, 2003 This sculpt is so good it almost seems like it can still transform Quote
eriku Posted November 16, 2003 Posted November 16, 2003 I may be alone in this, but I really don't like it. The proportions seem all messed up. The sculpting and detail is great, but something about it just looks wrong. Quote
Rune Posted November 16, 2003 Posted November 16, 2003 They are cool but really at 150.00 each ,it's just a little to high for me to afford. I might get the soundwave....but can't justify the rest. Macross toys are my first priority. Quote
justvinnie Posted November 16, 2003 Posted November 16, 2003 They need a CD player transformer. That way he can reach over and eject CD's that transforms into.... uhhhh.... things... vinnie Quote
the white drew carey Posted November 16, 2003 Posted November 16, 2003 I like it, but if they're going for a non-transformable interpretation of the what he looks like in robot mode, why the heck did they include the slide-tabs on the arms, or the screws? Silly. Other than that, it looks awesome. But I probably won't buy it. Let me know when they make a Hound statue. He was my favorite. Quote
Myriad Posted November 16, 2003 Posted November 16, 2003 If it does not transform it is crap! A statue of a toy that originally transformed? WTF? At least make it into a cookie jar. You can't even put pez in that thing. Junk junk junk! They should have used the energy and resources to make real Transformers. BTW Transformer PVC's also suck! Quote
bigkid24 Posted November 16, 2003 Posted November 16, 2003 That looks pretty sweet but the fact that we have a sweet-looking, transforming MPC Optimus coming out soon makes me think that so should this. Quote
Agent ONE Posted November 16, 2003 Posted November 16, 2003 They need a CD player transformer. That way he can reach over and eject CD's that transforms into.... uhhhh.... things...vinnie How about an iPod? Since all the new Transformers are newer stuff, and not their old 80's stuff, why not? Quote
Ladic Posted November 16, 2003 Posted November 16, 2003 well, as cool as it is, I'll never spend $150 on a toy. Quote
Agent ONE Posted November 16, 2003 Posted November 16, 2003 well, as cool as it is, I'll never spend $150 on a toy. Sure you will, when are in the middle of your mid life crisis and you get a Vet... That is a toy that costs more than $150. Quote
91WhiskeyM6 Posted November 17, 2003 Author Posted November 17, 2003 Who cares if it transforms or not. I already have a Takara reissue for that. I want his thing because of it's attention grabbing looks. This thing is a work of art. I'm getting all of them along with the MPC Prime and Alternators. Quote
dr_vandermeer Posted November 17, 2003 Posted November 17, 2003 cool. very cool!!! i personally think this is the best of the bunch, much better than the other 3 before it (optimus/megatron/arcee). here's more info straight from palisades if anyone was interested... "Thursday - 11/13/03 You’ve seen 3 beautifully rendered 3-D models from George Tremarco. George is the guy who is doing these renders for us, in the computer, that we use to sculpt the Transformers Deluxe Polystone Statues. Well, here is the fourth…Soundwave. Standing in a more upright position than the other 3 statues, this 3-D render is UNBELIEVABLY cool. Some things to note are that the cassette window will be open and the feet will be flat against the ground in the final sculpt. He will be on a crushed Decepticon logo base, just like Megatron! " i think it's much better closed. But with an open cassette window, how cool would it be to have a "special" laserbeak addition that could be mounted on his shoulder or arm? Quote

Yeah but that is what most people think about picures of Agent ONE. They think I'm a 3D render, just too perfect I guess. Quote
