David Hingtgen Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 If it were a video game, I'd so want to play it. Quote
anime52k8 Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 wait, looks neither boring nor desperately trying to be deep and introspective, how the hell is Oshii involved in this? this looks f'ing sweet. Quote
EXO Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 I was gonna say the same thing... if it was an Oshii film I'm sure that trailer is as good as it's gonna get. And that's a bad trailer. Quote

polidread Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 uh, off-topic, does anybody have any info about this flick Oshii made about food and World War 2, which co-starred Kawamori as an Indian ? Quote
Tober Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 It looks reminiscent of Avalon, which I happen to have liked alot Thanks wolfx Quote
Ginrai Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 uh, off-topic, does anybody have any info about this flick Oshii made about food and World War 2, which co-starred Kawamori as an Indian ? Yeah, it's called Tachiguishi Retsuden aka Tachigui: The Amazing Lives of the Fast Food Grifters. It's an expansion of an idea in Oshii's Kerberos movie from the '80s called Red Spectacles, a sort of absurdist comedy. The "fast food grifters" are people who scam free fast food. The movie is kind of like South Park-esque animated puppet meets fake documentary. It's also kind of an absurd comedy and incredibly dense with in-jokes. Quote
Vepariga Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 hahah that was rather cool, assualt girls firing over-powered weapons at giant earthbased whale-worms,only in japan. Quote
