So another wonderfest has come and gone, maybe I'm just getting picky in old age but there felt like less stuff to be excited about this time around. here's some of my highlights.

First up, Seven Sins part 2: The Seven Heavenly Virtues is coming along nicely. Sculpts are out for Sariel and Uriel, but more importantly Raphael is painted and oh my god is she darling. I think I might like her more than Michael and I want to like Michael more than anything in the world.

Meanwhile in Ship girl land, the peaceful rise of China Azur Lane has officially begun. No movement on plum's Hammann Kai yet (which is sad because she's the cutest little Cat girl loli ever), But Alter just announced there own ship Loli in the form of Vampire who is both Adorable, from a really good company, and theoretically in scale with the amazing Amakuni KanColle figures (I still love you so much Mutsu ). And in an interesting turn of events, the first company to get a sculpt out is... Kotobukiya, with Akagi? frankly I like the KanColle version better.

Going back to OG KanColle, we've got some good news and some bad news. The bad news is Amakuni still hasn't announced a Nagato to go with their Mutsu . The good news is that Alpha Max is doing a Half Damaged Saratoga to go with their Iowa! on Amakuni's end, instead of a Nagato they're doing a Christmas version of Suzuya which does sound pretty cute, and from GSC we're getting an adorable Waifu Shopping mode Haruna. Perhaps the oddest thing is FREEings B-style Shimakaze, which is just a regular shimakaze in 1/4.

And like a vengeful, smutty figure purveying god, Skytube descends from the heavens to smite everybody's wallets. frankly there was too much stuff to go through. We've even hit a point of saturation where I couldn't be bothered to save pics of Misaki Kurehito figures. That said two of my most wanted Kurehito figures are painted and look absolutely gorgeous and I'm super excited to go broke buying them. and of course, the most exciting new sculpt is a web exclusive but she's super cute and has a big butt (and I guess is Navy themed? ). Also, an art announcement of a BAN figure that (obstensively) isn't a dickgirl. )

and finally, the obligatory Native post. As per usual, Native brought a bunch of new art and showed progress on figures that weren't even announced all that long ago, while continuing to make zero movement on figure's I've been wanting forever. Some of the new art looked promising, and in terms of sculpts they had their NekoPara set which is looking pretty cute (and inevitably expensive) and their Schoolgirl/hooker/studio model(?) girl by Saitom is looking good in color.

Also at the native booth where products from their sub-brands BINDing and Rocket boy. I still have no idea what the deal with rocket boy actually is but it's looking like BINDings reason to exist is to make bunny girls and 1/4 scale stuff that's too smutty for FREEing. As far as actual figures the most interesting new things from BINDing where their own giant NekoPara figures, as well art for a cat BOY figure which I'm willing to admit I'm interested in.

Rocket boy meanwhile is kind of all over the place, I'm starting to think they're deal is just figures based on art too polarizing for Native proper. They did have a pair of Annette-san and Liliana-san figures that actually look good in grey, although I'm expecting the inevitable hyper glossy paint job to kill my interest in them. Also they announced another Ban Futa figure, and I think it's the best looking art for one yet.

I mean, it's kind of expensive and I've already expressed my dislike for Lechery and their parent company Kaitendo; but it's still really interesting. I think it's the fact that quality Futa figures from (relatively) mainstream companies are a new and novel thing so every time one comes out it grabs my attention.

Nothing new or interesting, I just wanted to vent a little bit. For the first time ever, I'm actually wishing I had ordered a figure from AmiAmi instead of HLJ. I got this figure some 3 months ago and I totally love it https://hlj.com/product/AMXAX-1040 But I just found out that the manufacturer did a run of replacement parts for it that fix my one complaint I have with this figure. I'm only finding out now because someone who got there improved parts posted pictures on flickr. apparently AmiAmi actually contacted all their customers who bought this figure and offered to forward them the new parts. I wasn't bothered the whole time I had the figure but now that I'm aware that a fix is out their I'm super miffed that I don't have those parts.

Well if it wasn't one before it is now. BAN! just announced we are getting a red recolor of this figure with dickgirl option parts and blonde hair. Actually its probably one of the most unique retooling of a figure I have ever seen as it comes with enough parts to simulate a full sex change from male to female. It has a bare male chest, covered busty female chest, naked busty female chest, and what looks like maybe two different dangly bit attachments depending on wether you like nuts on your sundae.

I don't think I've ever seen a figure this extensive like this before.

that's cool that they're releasing the full version and I actually really like the recolor. with the original release you only got the male parts if you bought the direct order web exlusive version. downside is the dick parts are just held on with double sided tape

Hey, so I recently won a bundle listing off YJA that included a model kit I wanted but also some figures. (A real steal, too; everything plus shipping/fees still cost less than if I bought just the kit + shipping/fees.) I'm working to identify them and find out info about them. (Character name, scale, manufacturer, etc.) I'm hoping one of you might be able to help answer some lingering questions I have.

So the figures are...

- 1/7 Wave "Dream Tech" Tomoyo Sakagami (from Clannad: ~After Story~) https://myfigurecollection.net/item/25760

- 1/7 Max Factory Fujisawa Yayoi (from Stellvia) https://myfigurecollection.net/item/973

- "Keitai Musume"/Cell Phone Girl, combination 1/6 figure and acrylic phone stand

 

...and my questions are:

1) What does "Dream Tech" refer to? Is it another company, perhaps the production company of the figure (ie Dream Tech makes the figure, Wave distributes it)? Is it a certain line of Wave figures? If so, what differentiates it from other Wave figures? etc.

2) Who are the manufacturers of the Keitai Musume figure? I see "Bell Fine" everywhere including on the box, but I also sometimes see a "Liao-something something" on the web, and need a confirmation.

3) Any information in general about the Keitai Musume figure? There appears to be several of these having started releasing over the past year or so, but I can't find these figures on MFC. Is this from an anime series? A video game? Maybe it's a mascot? etc.
