It's a bootleg. The first version of English subs JUST came out days ago, so it's highly unlikely that they're on this DVD. Don't get it. Wait. Quote
David Hingtgen Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 I think that should be added to the FAQ too: "If it has English subs, it's a bootleg" "If it was burned before everyone else at MW has seen it yet, they'll be bad Engrish subs" Quote
lost password guy Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Well,,,, I'm pleased with this release, Not sure where Mecha-Heads say it doesn't have enough action. After macross plus I consider good concert scenes "ACTION" Quote

Don't get it. Wait. I have always purchased HK bootlegs for Macross series such as Macross 7, Macross Zero, & Macross Frontier. I would love to have domestic releases of these titles but that’s never going to happen so the bootlegs suffice. Are you guys adding Subs to official Blue Ray discs or adding them to torrent downloads? Is there a torrent file of the movie which has the subs already added? frothymug Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 David, does that have the subs integrated, or are they still a separate file? Quote

David Hingtgen Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 What azrael said. Fast costs money. I believe the 720p versions have integrated subs, 1080p and 480p are raw. Quote
miles316 Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 No you don't. Just click on "Slow/Slower Download" button. The link David put up requires you to register before I can fallow the links to the movie sorry I can't find this "slow/slower Download" button on the board that David provided if that was were I was supposed to look and I am sorry if my post confused you. David Hingtgen Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Not in my experience, and I checked again 30 secs ago. Some posts/threads on that forum are "protected" but not that thread. Quote

frothymug Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 (edited) I'm downloading it right now without having registered. You're probably scanning over the page entirely too fast. They construct those things so you don't see the free link very easily. Slow it down and you'll find it. You DO know how to copy the link off of the page and paste it into your browser's navigation bar, right?? Edited October 29, 2010 by frothymug Quote

I had tried to click and drag it but I get a Circle with line through it symbol when my cursor goes over the Nav Bar, but I got it typed in and Book marked the page so I am OK. frothymug If you want to explain how to copy and past a link that would be appreciated. frothymug Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 If you click-and-drag your mouse over text, it will highlight the text. Then hit ctrl-c to copy the text to your OS's clipboard, and then paste it to your nav bar by clicking into the bar, clearing whatever's in it and hitting ctrl-v. Quote
whistler Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 after two hours of waiting for the download, it won't play. T.T i don't even get any kind of error message... i just try to open it with VLC and it simply opens the program, nothing to play. despite the fact that its 4.5 gigs. anyone have any ideas? having waited to long for the movie, being stopped now... its torture. frothymug Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 I downloaded Media Player Classic and it does a bang-up job. Quote
whistler Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Media Player Classic at least gives me an error message... says that it cannot render the file. i am going to download one of the smaller segments to see if it will work instead. it really sucks, but hey, what can you? Dallas, eh? i live in Grapevine ^.^ Quote
frothymug Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Yup. I think you got some kind of corrupted file. It's a Matroska file, right? Quote
whistler Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 yup, the good ol' .mkv. i was really hoping it was VLC, but i should have known better. damnit. Quote
David Hingtgen Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 When VLC and MPC don't work, I try Zoom player. Quote

Major Focker Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 it's almost certainly a corrupted download. i've had that happen to me a few times. i've had some luck getting KM Player to at least open the file when VLC and MPC fail, but still it would inevitably hang at some point. unfortunately, you're only recourse really is to redownload. and if you're going to do that, i would suggest trying it from a different source altogether, in case it was the file itself that was broken and not the download process. David Hingtgen Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 No problems here. I'd vote one file/chunk was improperly downloaded or something. Quote
Cpt_Gloval Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Download the K-lite Mega Codex pack. Comes with the newest version of MPC and all the current versions of codec renders. Quote
Tobi54 Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 (edited) Question, THORA just released their version with subs by msubs, is this the same group that released the subs linked in this thread? Thanks. Did anyone get the subs from this link before it got removed? http://www.megaupload.com/?d=4J5PUZ6H that's supossed to be the latest revised version. Edited October 31, 2010 by Tobi54 Quote
ATLMYK Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 I got the Thora subs. Their subs are excellent, imo the best. If you get a chance look for their release of Time of Eve as well. Quote
miriya Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 http://www.animetake...ime-2009-a.html I tried this link three times last night. It kept giving me an error message half way through downloading the file. Are there any other good links for the movie with the subs? Quote
lost password guy Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 As i said before.... "If you are unable to find d/l links for this movie, Sub's are the least of your worries." Come on guys's, Macross world is clean. .....PLEASE MODERATE Quote

Come on guys's, Macross world is clean. .....PLEASE MODERATE This wouldn't be the first time a link has been provided in MW. I believe even the forum staff have contributed links when Frontier was broadcasting for the first time. The moderators do a good job as it is moderating. It's not like MW is hosting the content either. Moreover, even if there was or wasn't a link provided in MW...it doesn't take much to find whatever it is out on the web these days.
