It turns out posting using signature links for my website was counting as spam which penalises my Google ranking massively.

Also linking a review from Digg was doing the same.

My website in the last week has fallen off all the front pages of Google.

Any tips for fixing this?

Nope, you'll be forever tarnished in google's eyes, like that cut up prostitte in Unforgiven, sure Eastwood said if he wanted a free one, it'd be from her, but he was obviously lying. Now it's the same for your webpage!

Whoa, where did you hear this from/how were you alerted of this? I'd like to know so I can ask the TF Wiki's overlords, as most of the regular contributors have been advertising the wiki via forum signatures.

Cheers!

Hmm, somebody else has informed me that the worst Google can do is ignore the links for the purposes of ranking, and that if Google did demote sites based on sigs, then people would be "advertising" their competitor's sites in their sigs.
