Seriously: Why don't any of YK's other soundtracks sound as br

I definitely enjoyed most of Yoko Kanno's work on Escaflowne and bought all of the soundtracks too. For Bebop I enjoyed it but some parts were less memorable to me. I also enjoyed GITS SAC but as others have commented already M+ is a wonderful classic in its own right! I just cannot imagine any other music in place of YK's style in those anime series.

As for Sheryl vs Ranka vs Minmay... all I know is I prefer Minmay over Sheryl, however I definitely enjoy Sheryl's vocals. I cannot stand Ranka's attempt at singing. Just my preference that's all.

I actually think some of the Mac+ soundtrack was a bit boring imo, I like her work for Turn A Gundam & Ghost in the shell.
