Agent ONE Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 (edited) I searched, but it may be a repost. REMEMBER THIS: The real thing: http://www.martinjetpack.com/video-gallery.aspx Edited September 16, 2009 by Agent ONE Quote
the white drew carey Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 I think I've seen photos of that before, but never video. It is pretty awesome. Is it really a jetpack, though? I thought it used ducted fans instead. Quote
the white drew carey Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 I just read some more info, it seems the unit is handicapped so that it can fall into the ultralight category under FAA regulations so that one does not need a pilot's license. Nice! Imagine what one could do if it was truly decked out, though? Quote
Wes Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Well I have a pilot's license so i want the decked-out version. And I expect lasers. Quote
Dante74 Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 I wonder how long it'll fly on one tank of fuel? Quote
the white drew carey Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 I wonder how long it'll fly on one tank of fuel? The specs say it holds 5 gallons, with a 10 gallon/hour consumption rate, so about 30 minutes. But that's give or take on usage, probably. Also, the specs do state that the 5 gallons is the FAA maximum to fall into the unlicensed ultralight category. So, once again, if they decided to have a beefier version, it might come with a bigger gas tank. Quote
Agent ONE Posted September 16, 2009 Author Posted September 16, 2009 It's useless without missiles. Weapons are the easy part... The flying bubble was the hard part. Quote

RD Blade Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Weapons are the easy part... The flying bubble was the hard part.I totally agree. I meant that in an ironically-overlooking-the-important-part kind of way. Quote
