EMP Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Hello everybody. This is my first post on the forum. I was just wondering what material the Wave VF-0A non scale model is made of. Also, and more importantly to me, what is the upcoming Wave 1/100 scale VF-1S snap fit model kit going to be made of. Different people have said different things on various websites, ABC, PVS, resin, I figured you guys would know better than anyone else. Thank you. Quote
cobywan Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 I don't see why it would be anything but Polystyrene with polycarbonate polycaps. Quote

cobywan Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Polyurethane is a casting resin used in garage kit. Quote
Excillon Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 I've heard horror stories about Wave plastic being not as good, but the small few Wave kits I've done seem identical to Hasegawa/Bandai quality wise. Of course I've only done the 0S, and a couple Mk kits. Quote
Kylwell Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Polyurethane is a casting resin used in garage kit. Yeah, even I got it wrong. Polyvinyl is the material polycaps are made of.... or did I get it wrong again... dammit, what did Brad say..... Quote
EMP Posted September 8, 2009 Author Posted September 8, 2009 Thank you. I figured they were styrene, I just wasn't sure. I knew you guys would know the answer. Quote
