dearhunter Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 (edited) Hi all. I've been thinking of doing a VF-25 in more detail. And it was important for VF-25 to be look like a aircraft. So I found some check points. The aircraft's details, not the SF machine, are of interest to my work. Here are some pictures. i'm thank to you watched this page. please wait a next step, i think it's color work. Edited August 24, 2009 by dearhunter Quote
mickyg Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 WOW! Knowing how small some of those details are, I'm just blown away! Welcome to Macross World! I'm sure you're about to get a lot more comments. Quote
MechTech Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 (edited) Welcome to Macross World! Great details! I would almost hate to paint over all that nice work. I love your wok on the leading edge, flaps and spoilers. - MT Edited August 24, 2009 by MechTech Quote
Andrew Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Great work, though the problem you have with the front landing gear is that it cant take off using catapults anymore. How did you do the leading edge? Quote

505thAirborne Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Very impressive details to the Cockpit and great idea to replace the std Bandai landing gear. Its one thing Bandai can not seem to do right...... Welcome to Macross World!! Quote
Clay Cliff Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Way to go, dearhunter. I agree, there are some points to be corrected for the VF-25 to look more like an actual aircraft, specially the canopy shape. A twin-wheeled nosegear like the F-14's is more appropiate, methinks. I like a lot that main gear. Waiting for some paint on it. Keep the good work. Quote
Budokhan Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 I just recently got this kit & thought the landing gear looked just a bit too "HUGE" also!! I didnt, however, think to tackle making the canopy be able to be hinged!!! Way to go dearhunter, Gonna keep an eye on this one Quote
Budokhan Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 Also guys, is it just me or does the pilot figure look more like 1/100 than 1/72? I know that the kit is supposed to be 1/72 but wouldnt he be a bit , well.. small.. for that scale?? Quote
regult Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 all these mods! quite a departure from the original design... I am not sure the canopy looks better this way, but it sure is hard work and I am looking forward to its completion. Quote
wm cheng Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Welcome to the board!! What a great first post... I'll be watching with great interest. Very nice details indeed. Quote
