Gubaba Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 More for the pachinko game, but it's such a nice video that I think it REALLY belongs here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKvE5uZH6eg The first minute and a half or so explain the new frills they're putting into the gameplay, which are fairly uninteresting for those of us who will probably never play it. Ah, but THEN we get a full-on history of Macross, narrated by Mari Iijima herself! I hope they paid her a TON of dough for that. Then you get some clips from the game itself...which looks awesome, of course, but you knew that already. Quote

Firebomber's release ranks 7 in Oricon: http://www.oricon.co.jp/rank/ja/d/ The anthem single ranks 9: http://www.oricon.co.jp/rank/js/d/ Since there is an upcoming concert, the sales should be kept afloat. These are not exactly good numbers, but they are only daily tallies. The weeklies should be the better judge of the sales. Quote

UN Spacy Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 A new, small size artbook that's coming out. http://www.amazon.co.jp/マク&a...6739&sr=1-4 The back cover is...um... It's definitely small size......for a Zentradi. Kinokuniya won't have it for another three weeks. Quote
Gubaba Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 It's definitely small size......for a Zentradi. Huh. Then it must be a short book, because it's only about 1000 yen, which is pretty cheap for something like that. Quote

Graham Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 The Sheryl book is A4 size, about 64 pages. Picked one up a couple of days ago. Graham Quote
Tochiro Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 The new PINK MONSOON single is out if anyone is interested. Picked mine up today - yes its like a cheesy 80's Madonna song but I like it for some reason (maybe because Ive seen it performed live twice already? ) The lyrics are credited to Gabriella Robin, so it looks like Kanno is officially part of the Macross universe now, lol. Kronnang Dunn Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 (edited) Kazuhiko Kato composer of Ai Oboete Imasu ka found dead. Good night, sweet prince... So, who wanted that spicy 1J image from the pachinko boot? Thanks, is beautiful. Do you have the source of this image? (The official site for the pachinko game I guess?) Btw... I found this (apparently) official movie promotional image (movie poster? flyer?) in both 4chan and Daanboru... It has the new "Tornado" pack in it... and the movie release date... Gubaba Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 I picked up the Frontier Manga Vol. 4 this evening. It's still not great, but I think it's an improvement over the early chapters. Volume 5 should be the final book. Quote
Strumvogel Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 I picked up the Frontier Manga Vol. 4 this evening. It's still not great, but I think it's an improvement over the early chapters. Volume 5 should be the final book. While the improvement is welcomed, it's far too late to expect it to do anything great at this point in time I'm afraid. Like you said it's pretty much ending in the next volume. I'm following it on the magazine it's serialized in and even though they're in the middle of the final battle they're pretty much rushing it to it's end. And unusually it's the anime that is more detailed in it's storytelling than the manga when it's usually the other way around. Btw, just in case people forgot: Macross Ace Vol.3 is out 11/13 next month. Quote
