Gubaba Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Those are pics from the Megaroad Launch Ceremony which I am hoping to have a report of up by the end of the week. Three of the actresses from Musicalture were there. One of them was the winner of the Actress 'Wing" of the Miss Macross Contest. Seriously, you need to explain the stuff you post and stop expecting others to do it for you..... 神田沙也加は・・・? Quote

Tochiro Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 (edited) Just updated the music special piece on the front page. Will have a few more updated details tonight: http://www.macrosswo...-musix-special/ EDIT: Added broadcast pamphlet details 片木ゆき is the winner of 550 contestants. I remember Megumi is the winner of 5000. Macross 25, 5000 Macross 30, 550 POOooor Macross Diva... .....Sayaka Chan is not a newbie. She is Matsuda Seiko’s daughter. I really think she is cute than Miss Macross 30... You are actually comparing Apples to Oranges there. Miss Macross 25 was for a major role in an anime series and associated music deal. It was a kindofa a BIG thing. Miss Macross 30 is for two (actress wing and songstress wing) complete newcomers that wont necessarily be playing the main role and is for a live production in Tokyo that lasts for a week. The scale (and stakes) arent really comparable. As for cuteness, Yuki is supposed to be a complete amatuer. thats where the interest and appeal lies for the audience. She doesnt even know how to speak properly in public yet. Sayaka is an older, trained professional and it shows. The two have very diferent roles and got equally different audience responses at the Launch Ceremony. In that picture I'm guessing that Sayaka is sitting on Megumi's right, Aya Endo on the left, Shou Hayami is the dude in the suit and Mika Doi is standing on... his right? You would be correct sir! Back row from left: Mika Doi, Sho Hayami, Tomo Sakurai, Aya Endo, Megumi Nakajima. Front row is for the MUSICALTURE representatives: (from left) Yuki Katagi (winner of the 'Actress Wing' of Miss Macross 30), Kanae Yoshi (from '9nine') and Sayaka Kanda. [/left] Oh, BELIEVE me, I know that better than anyone. Ask VF5SS or Renato if you don't trust me... Dude, I spent Sunday witnessing Sayaka first hand. We have much to discuss when we next get some drinks ;-) Edited September 5, 2012 by Tochiro Quote
Tochiro Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 The winners of the Miss Macross 30 Contest have been officially announced: http://macross30.com/mmc/ Singer Wing: Haruka Chisuga (20y/o from Iwate) Actress Wing: Yuki Katagi (19y/o from Osaka) Interestingly, while Haruka outright won the Singer category, there was no grand winner for the actress category. Yuki was an applicant who the judges thought had a character that they wanted to portray in the Musicalture. Yuki's forst appearance on stage was at the Megaroad launch ceremony last Sunday. Quote

I am not sure if BigWest is willing to go to the trouble of doing that, but we shall see. Danny may be watching MW. He sometimes says he liked Macross so much. And in his autobiography, Focker's face is in his TV set from his photo. I re-watched Culture Japan Season 2 episode 10. When he was asked, "Your Japanese is amaging, how did you get so good at it?" his answer was, "It all started out with the 'Super Dimension Fortress Macross' movie." And today's his Facebook page. "Macross Mecha Manual" was posted. What a coincidence. http://www.facebook....dannychoodotcom I found this article in the Culture Japan web site by chance. http://www.dannychoo...cross+Room.html I wonder if Gina is a member of MW. The last page features the other Sound Force VFs, but interestingly, the fighter mode pictures of both are with the Sound Booster No.2 and No.3 craft attached. I've seen the VF-11MAXL Kai with the Sound Booster attached in fighter mode before (I'm sure everyone remembers it + Fold Booster), but I've never seen the VF-17T Kai with the Sound Booster attached in fighter mode.
