arrow Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 I would guess that with the movie coming out. A recolored ozma would not be far.
Awacs Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 DX vf-25f super messiah alto movie version http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/thread-108145-1-1.html looks like light blue colors for the super parts I am probably the only one, but I actually quite like those colours. I can't give a solid, rational reasons why, but something abot them just works aesthetically for me. Karl
Knightdramon Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 To my knowledge, bandai has not relased ver 2.0 of any of their DX Chogokins [Aquarion military mass production type was rumoured to be with stiffer joints]. Seeing as so far, "movie" Alto has minimal differences to tv ver alto, I don't expect that there will be major differences, if any, with Ozma either. After all, wasn't DYRL 1S Focker identical to TV version? My money's on changing the colours and\or patterns of Luca and Michel, similar to how Max and Kakizaki were changed for their DYRL versions.
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 To my knowledge, bandai has not relased ver 2.0 of any of their DX Chogokins [Aquarion military mass production type was rumoured to be with stiffer joints].There have been v2's of Mazinger and other hero robots in the SOC line. Also, Bandai has redone some of their EVAs in the Soul SPEC line.

Also, Bandai has redone some of their EVAs in the Soul SPEC line. Yes, but those are part of their regular SOC and SOC SPEC lines, not the DX Chogokin. Frankly, the only other DX Chogokin I know of is Aquarion.
Ivan Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 (edited) Pics of the transparent VF-25 Alto version. Looks nice, but not my cup of tea http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/thread-108277-1-1.html Edited September 14, 2009 by Ivan
Vahouth Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 (edited) Is it me or is the movie version Alto's shield differrent? It seem like it's closer to the arm. Edited September 14, 2009 by Vahouth
Graham Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Neither the clear version, or the movie color version do anything for me. I will pass on both. And the shield on the movie version doesn't look any closer to the arm to me. Graham
Neova Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Pics of the transparent VF-25 Alto version. Looks nice, but not my cup of tea http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/thread-108277-1-1.html WOW! I was thinking about skipping it but after seeing those pictures might have to reconsider the model kit at least... The YF-19 Double Nuts in the same thread makes it a MUST BUY! Looks great in blue and white. Sorry OT!

Negotiator Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 (edited) An over priced fold vf-25 with no fold booster. That's great Edited September 15, 2009 by Negotiator
m0n5t3r Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 if the clear ver. was released as a regular item and not an exclusive and essentially doubling it's price, IMO people will warm up to it more.
Graham Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 if the clear ver. was released as a regular item and not an exclusive and essentially doubling it's price, IMO people will warm up to it more. Not me. I just don't like it. Even if it was half the price of the regular version, I still wouldn't buy it. Clear or metallic plated versions have never been my thing. Graham

Graham Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 What if it was a VF-1 or Zero or a VF-17... VF-27? Nope, not even my favorite a VF-17D. I just think clear or plated versions are silly. Graham
David Hingtgen Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Plus it's not actually clear in the typical sense---it's like transparent rainbow-chrome. With totally clear, you can at least say "it's like a cutaway drawing, showing the internal mechanics". But this? That's just plain girly IMHO.

honkhet Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 the model kit clear version was so much better than this...
regult Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Because in the model kit there is a "skeleton" to look at...and even then I didn't find it appealing either, so guess I am with the G-man and a whole bunch of fellows here.
jenius Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Meh, I don't care what you haters say, Bandai took a scheme seen in the show as a lighting affect for only several seconds and made a toy of it. That's pretty cool. I'm not saying it's for everyone but if Bandai is going to make exclusives I think this was a great idea for one.
blacklotus Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Looks like Bandai/Big West stole a bad idea from Wonder Woman and her invisible jet. And I agree with Graham on this one: bad idea, bad execution.
arrow Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 They should have concentrated on improving the line starting with the armored ozma(More improvements).
anotheran Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 The clear is pretty neat. It'll go well with the fold booster. Definitely for a niche market so it makes sense to be a web exclusive. Like regult mentioned about the skeleton, I prefer the clear model over the DX mainly cuz there's more to see inside. It doesn't look right to see into the fuselage and see nothing there.
nugundamII Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Pics of the transparent VF-25 Alto version. Looks nice, but not my cup of tea http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/thread-108277-1-1.html i REALLY like this version. I think its the best of the VF-25 series WIll buy this one
mitch Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 While the clear '25 isn't my cup of tea, I would advise anyone who does buy this exclusive to handle it extremely carefully. Clear plastic has a reputation for being more brittle than solid colors, and when you add that to the Macross DX's notoriously sensitive decal aps (never mind the 'warp' coloring) you have a recipe for heartbreak. Unless Bandai comes out with a seriously kick-ass paint or sculpt variant from the movie I'm done with the VF-25.
Javabean Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 I'm done with VF-25, except for cannon fodder which i hope Bandai will do it one day. Myself not a fans of clear version. I even skip the clear fast packs for VF-1.
arrow Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 never mind the clear. Is there any news on other releases in the DX line? and, is the alto armor the same as ozma(in terms of updates)?
PsYcHoDyNaMiX Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Just got a notification from Over-Drive about processing my Alto Armored pack... -=]

Ivan Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 (edited) I got a call from my supplier in Hong Kong that the Alto Full Armor has arrived. Will be picking them up tomorrow. BTW, the Bandai Alto action figure is also out here in Hong Kong. Edited September 18, 2009 by Ivan
ATLMYK Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Got a email on my set as well. Any word if anything beyond the armor coming with the set?

I think the Alto looks a lot less dramatic than the Ozma somehow... Fingers crossed a bundle will come out soon instead of getting this expensive piece... Edited September 19, 2009 by catcha
MacrossJunkie Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 The color of the armor just doesn't look right on Alto's VF.
jc07 Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 anyone knows if that armor pack is compatible with the 1st issue of the alto unit? or is it just for the reissue compatible
