Wow, who has this up for preorder? I can't find it on hlj, guess they preordered thier limit. Also, when is this supposed to come out and what is a resonable price?

Ami Ami still has it up for preorder for 11760 yen (due to the struggling dollar that's about $130) before shipping.

I believe that's the lowest price around.

That's where I ordered my Macross Quarter from and it arrived within three days. EMS ftw.

Hello,

After reading this thread for a long time, I finally broke down and decided to order the Bandai 1/60 VF-25. I have all of the 1/100 releases to include the event only, but I don't really care for "parts formers", although 1/100 scale is better with regard to display space.

I think the DX VF-25 is better than the bad rep it's gotten here. It's a decent toy (it probably should've been cheaper)

The only really big complaint about it is that in fighter mode, the legs don't fit into the backplate the way it is supposed to.

Well, if it was only (1) package I couldn't fit it in the back of my Ford Escape very easily, let alone carry it. :D

Even so, I'm pretty sure each of the (3) packages will be pretty large considering the size of the Bandai/Yamato boxes.

Please don't envy me, I have too many sleepless nights due to contemplation of material possessions. ha, ha

Sometimes I wonder if it's a waste of money to buy toys, but if we don't spend our money, someone else will. I'm sure a lot of people don't understand our fixation with robots, especially at our age.

No offense to anyone, but my advice is to play with and display your valkyries/kits/figures. If you're saving them as Mint in Sealed Box, you will be sadly disappointed to find they won't make you rich in the future. Something newer or better will have been released by that time. The days of high priced Bandai Hi-metal 1/55 valkyries, Joke Machines, etc. are long gone.

The highest priced Macross item on eBay is a brand new helmet at a little more than $500. There is a glut of Macross/Robotech/Transformers and so forth. Everyone who wants something can buy it now direct from the manufacturer, so there won't be a secondary market.

by the beard of christ !!! What a haul, next time though I suggest shopping around a little bit so that you can save some cash. HLJ sold u most of that stuff at MSRP.

I joined this forum waaay back when I was searching for VF-X2 story translation. Post nothing back then. Just weeks ago I want to search more info bout DX chogokin and I suddenly remember this forum. Need to recover new password anyway since it's long forgotten. Gotta agree with you, Christopher, toys are meant to play. I kept some of my toys in their box only because display space limitation. Still, I often take em out and switch places with those on display. Btw, I love the styrofoam package of DX. Not enviromentaly friendly but secure and easy to handle unlike plastic tray. Not to mention it's nostalgic, bring back memories of 80's toys. I hope Bandai continuing this tradition.

I watched the first five episodes of Macross Frontier again and I noticed that the SMS Hangar has a squadron of VF-25 CFs. Does Bandai have plans to release such a thing, or has anyone repainted their VF-25F to CF colors?

In one of the threads (unfortunately can't remember which one) there are pics of a VF-25 CF, custom-made by a member from a VF-25G. It was later sold on eBay if I remember correctly...

Series 2 of the 1/250 scale Bandai Macross Fighter Collection has the cannon fodder VF-25A.

hai... i'm new in this forum but.. i have been a fan boy for macross for a long time.. i have collect the vf 25 from bandai.. and i notice that the hand part especially the finger doesn't have any articulation... have anyone try to modified this part? *by exchange it with a part from a pefect grade gundam for example*

and another question.. does bandai.. release a decale.. for this figure? cos the paint quality is so poor... and i have a plan to repaint all my vf 25 but i'm affraid for the detail

Amen brother, I'm gonna take your advice and shop around for the best deals in the future. I could have bought something nice with the money I would have saved. Oh well, live and learn. ^_^

Very nice Mustang areaseven. That's my favorite car, I've owned about (8) so far to include the 1985 Mustang SVO. My favorite is the 1993 Cobra R 5.0. Last week I bought a 2010 Ford Escape in the same color as your car, or pretty close. It's called "Fusion" I think.

Thanks for the info. about the VF-25A Cannon Fodder, and I also hope Bandai will release one soon. Bandai doesn't seem to be as re-paint happy as Yamato, but perhaps that will change with time. B))

Thanks, dude. The color on mine is Windveil Blue, which was discontinued after 2008. You should test drive the newer Mustangs, as they've bumped up the performance a lot.

Also, I still think that VF-25 looks like there have been improvements made. In the pics that have come out, GERWALK mode looks better and in that pic the crotch is much more angled (like the lineart) than it has in any of the previous gen 25's.

I know, I know, I'm probably too hopeful.

Tried to watch it out of curiosity, but for some reason it will only take a windows media player 11 plug-in to work. I have WMP 12 and it won't accept as a valid player. Oh well.

After downloading the plugin, I managed to watch the clip and download it for future reference. Indeed, the VF-27 Lucifer looks good. The VF-25F Tornado Messiah also looks decent, but as I mentioned earlier, I'm not a fan of Alto-hime.

I wish they retooled the VF-25 to the new standard set by the -27. I'd buy it in a heartbeat, unfortunately I am not so optimistic, and patiently waiting for the -27 release, it's so hard not to keep coming back to this thread!

Amen to that brow-, For me when I bougt my first Yamato valk the vfx 2 yf-19, and subsequentialy the new 1/60, I just felt so happy, because Its not just a toy, its something that bring me memories and fills me with joy, no matter i realy had to wait, and wait, and after that whait a little bit more, and as u said, never keep them in boxes cause I will never sell them ahahahah.

By the way, I was wondering if someone could sugest the best place to by the vf-27, I was considering amiami cause its handy, and I can tell them when to bring my goodies homme, but is it the cheapest place?
