Valkyrie addict Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 what I immediately thought was 'ninja gaiden' watching this trailer, it has sooooooo many thing taken from the game I won't go see this at the theaters but I would most likely rent it, looks entertaining Quote
eugimon Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 (edited) I can't wait to see this, I love me some cheesy kung fu action and am glad to see a new one making the rounds in american theatres. I guess it sucks to be so stilted that you can't sit back and enjoy a silly flick every once in a while. yes yes, that's what it is, I'm just soooo stilted. I'll have you know sir, that not only do I not own a pair of stilts I have never even, in fact, been on a pair of stilts due to my horrible consuming fear of clowns. ROFL, I gather by the snarkgasm you got my point though..... Freaking out about how a ninja movie is going to be over-the-top, or cliche'd or suck? Seriously? This type of movie isn't meant to be in contention for the best dramatic picture of the year or anything. This kind of movie is about the "holy crap, did you see that, he cut off 6 people's head's with a ninja star! lol, cheer, lol some more " Quote
Twoducks Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 The sensei/voice over guy sounds almost like the Robo Geisha trailer guy. If the movie was narrated in third person by the latter, this movie would be the best in the world. "Ninja is bu-tafull" "Ninja is asss-asinn" Quote
EXO Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 I can't wait to see this movie. It's gonna be so cool. Lol. Quote

emerson Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Rain as a ninja, is like Justin Timberlake as a gladiator. Quote
EXO Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 At least its not Keanu Reeves... they actually got someone from the right continent... now they just need to start making movies with people from the right country... Prince Of Persia indeed! Quote
RDClip Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Speaking of the 80's, "Ninja Assassin" has to be the worst title for a movie since the 1980's martial arts movie fad (lol and i thought you couldnt do worst than calling a move "Next" or "War"). It'll probably be a terrible movie, the Wachoski Bros last several movies have kinda suck the big one. Actually, I believe the only really good movie they ever made was the first Matrix movie. The latter 2 matrix movies where decent, but not particularly amazing. Speed Racer was over the top even for the source material. And V for Vendetta basically butchered the original comic into a preachy anti-Bush propoganda film (Not defending Bush, but modern American politics don't have a place in an adaptation of a 80's British comic) Quote
EXO Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 OK... I'm all for a cheesy ninja movie (has there ever been a good one?) but McTeigue to take over the Superman franchise? barf! Why not just put ol' blue in a coffin with a big kryptonite rock and seal it with lead... so lame! Quote
Ghost Train Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 This movie has the most redundant title ever . We all know a Ninjas job is to flip out and kill all the time! http://www.realultimatepower.net/index4.htm Quote

Vepariga Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 Yeah reviews sound like they were expecting the best movie ever, This movie is just for fun,a solid action flick nothing more, its just a visual film really. To be honest im looking forward to scott atkins in isaac florences 'Ninja' to be the better film. Quote
Agent ONE Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 American Ninja was the Ninja series that killed Ninja movies in the 80's. .. YES. Quote
Graham Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 As mentioned, the title is a bit redundant, but have you considered that maybe it's just the first in a series on Ninja themed "career" movies. Perhaps, sequels will include titles such as 'Ninja Baker', 'Ninja Accountant', 'Ninja Fast Food Worker' etc. Graham Quote
EXO Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 just wait for the Sequel... Ninja Assassins 2: Sneaky Killers For Hire! Quote
shiroikaze Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 I'm still waiting for the Adventures of Dr. McNinja... Quote
EXO Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 If you really want a winning movie that'll attract everyone to see it, just make Vampire Ninja Princess Diaries. Quote
doodler7 Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 We're watching it Thanksgiving...and we're gonna like it...cuz there's just not enough ninja movies out there! Just like that Jet Li movie with Mya? I forget...martial artist helps female fight bad guys....but still cool! Quote
RDClip Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 If i really just need to watch a ninja movie, i'll watch Shinobi. No need to settle for mediocrity, due to lack of quantity. Quote
RD Blade Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Shinobi was a pretty bad movie...and a horrendous TV series. I really hope Ninja Assassin is better. Quote

Otherwise the movie would just be called Ninja and that would never do. Maybe they are differentiating between types of assassins. One might ask, "what kind of assassin was he?" Then the reply would be "ninja assassin." A ninja assassin as opposed to a sniper or some other type perhaps. I don't know, I'm just guessing here. Quote

Ladic Posted November 26, 2009 Author Posted November 26, 2009 American Ninja was the Ninja series that killed Ninja movies in the 80's. I'm a huge Sho Kosugi fan so I'll see it even though I hate these kinds of cg action fighting movies. At least the head Ninja lord is actually Japanese. as I kid I used to like that ninja movie with Franco Nero Quote
Max Jenius Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 My favorite part of the trailer was when the ninja killed that guy. Quote
Ivan Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 Wow, that's one ugly poster. To me, this will always be what ninjas are about: Quote
BeyondTheGrave Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 Just watched. It was okay; a little ridiculous how many times someone had to be stabbed in order to die. Shinobi Heart under blade was better. Quote
