Duke Togo Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Lame. Who watches this crap? And does anyone care about anything the Wachowskis are involved in anymore? Quote
RD Blade Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Lame. Who watches this crap?Me, that's who. And does anyone care about anything the Wachowskis are involved in anymore? Not really a selling point for me. Quote
Dangard Ace Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 80's Ninja action style movie? It'll never top American Ninja! Quote
wolfx Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 I'm beginning to wonder are there more non Japanese ninja flicks than Japanese ones? Quote
polidread Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 " Ninja assassin " might be referring to the ninja they sent to assassinate the main ninja ? oh feck. XD Quote
Duke Togo Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 This looks like one of those video game/anime live action movies. Quote
Save Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 (edited) 80's Ninja action style movie? It'll never top American Ninja! American Ninja was the Ninja series that killed Ninja movies in the 80's. I'm a huge Sho Kosugi fan so I'll see it even though I hate these kinds of cg action fighting movies. At least the head Ninja lord is actually Japanese. Edited July 24, 2009 by Save Quote
shiroikaze Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Oh em gee, why not make a Ninja Gaiden movie or a Dr. McNinja movie, then those ridiculous special effects will have a place! Quote
Roy Focker Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 American Ninja was the Ninja series that killed Ninja movies in the 80's. I'm a huge Sho Kosugi fan so I'll see it even though I hate these kinds of cg action fighting movies. At least the head Ninja lord is actually Japanese. Don't forget the 3 Ninja Movies. Ninja were cool but are sadly still jokes. One day maybe they will be cool again. Quote

Wha you don't like Michael Dudikoff and his acting in the series? It's like Miami Vice meets Magnum with a huge helping of white ninja. "Then he must die!" ROFLMAO Perfect example of 80's cheesefest. Love it. Watching AN on Youtube... it's like the perfect live action GI Joe movie. haha! Somewhat on topic, don't see what the appeal of Rain is. Saw him in Speed Racer and well....yeah. Sho is still acting? I thought he retired. Quote
polidread Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 dont tell me the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles first live action movie didnt do anything good for you XD Quote

He semi-retired to run his own acting, martial arts school/troupe for kids. Him and his son had a falling out I think. Sho want his son to work with his school and his son pursued his own acting career. Quote
Vepariga Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 ive actually be waiting for this movie to show a trailer and i like it, looks great for a fun MA flick, ive seen the backstage fightscene choreography reel and i like what i see. Quote
ruskiiVFaussie Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 dont tell me the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles first live action movie didnt do anything good for you XD Loved that movie! Forget no. 2 and 3, and start back up with the TMNT animated movie! Quote
shiroikaze Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 (edited) I don't think TMNT2 was bad, however 3 was the weakest of the four movies... that I'll agree with. Edited July 25, 2009 by shiroikaze Quote
EXO Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 Woohoo! Those guys are always in ninja warriors. But I bet they can't jump over cars backwards. Quote
Einherjar Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 Damn, I thought this was an adaptation of the light gun game from Namco. Quote
Warmaker Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 dont tell me the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles first live action movie didnt do anything good for you XD Go ninja! Go ninja! Go ninja! Go! Go! GO!!! Quote
EXO Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Isn't "Ninja Assassin" redundant? That's what I thought when I first heard of Ninja Warriors. But I'm still a huge fan of it... And the I used to watch Sho Kosugi movies as a kid... cheesy as hell. Just saw the trailer.... I actually liked it. I can't believe people here wanted to see Blood! because that cartoon was boring as heck. If this is anything as good as Brandon Lee's Rapid Fire, which wasn't all that good but was a fun watch then I'm all for it. I'll even wait for the sequel... Ninja Assassin: Killers for Hire!!! Quote
CoryHolmes Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 I couldn't even make it through the trailer for this. As soon as I heard that the W-Bros were doing it, that sent all sorts of red flags flapping. Three-quarters of the way through the trailer proved those flags right. As for the 80s Ninja flicks, American Ninja was a decent flick. I refuse to re-watch it, however My personal favourite Michael Dudikoff movie had to be his Dirty Dozen with KidsTM flick. That was pretty enjoyable at the time. Quote
EXO Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 This movie is gonna be badass! I love the fact that people think it's tasteless then go on to praise Michael Dudikoff... Quote
CoryHolmes Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 I love the fact that people think it's tasteless then go on to praise Michael Dudikoff... The difference is that we've had 10-15 years worth of maturing between Michael Dudikoff and this Quote
Vepariga Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 yeh its gonna be great, and its bout time ninja have graced the screen again. the trailer was alright for a teaser, but the 2nd one should show more, there will be some genuinely good MA in this flick for sure,im gonna be there! Quote
EXO Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 The difference is that we've had 10-15 years worth of maturing between Michael Dudikoff and this Well some people have matured, and some people can't get over it. Yeah... Ninjas! Finally. I remember watching Last Samurai, the best part was the Ninja attacking the village. Except some white dude was able to see them... you know those white dudes, they can detect ninjas better than samurai. Quote
eugimon Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Well some people have matured, and some people can't get over it. Yeah... Ninjas! Finally. I remember watching Last Samurai, the best part was the Ninja attacking the village. Except some white dude was able to see them... you know those white dudes, they can detect ninjas better than samurai. well, that's because ninjas are so common in Japan (and apparently Korea...?) that Samurai don't even notice them anymore. But since it's a *historical* movie, the white guy could spot them because they were new and exciting. Quote
Ghost Train Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Please don't diss The Last Samurai, or Tom Cruise will put on his eyepatch and samurai armor, hop on his F-14, bring goose back from the dead, and destroy your couch. Quote
areaseven Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Since no one's posted it yet, here's the trailer: Ninja Assassin Trailer So is anyone here gonna watch it on Nov. 25? Quote
eugimon Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 either that or never... I'm leaning towards never. Quote
Ghadrack Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 I can't wait to see this, I love me some cheesy kung fu action and am glad to see a new one making the rounds in american theatres. I guess it sucks to be so stilted that you can't sit back and enjoy a silly flick every once in a while. Quote
