You might be a little late for the VF-22. If it is a limited release like they said you might not be able to find it now. That being said I Agree with Agent-GHO start off buying what you grew up / looks cool to you. My first valks where a VF-0 and a YF-19 because I love Macross plus and I love how the VF-0 looks.

I voted for the VF-1a. it's in both the TV & DYRL. You can't get more icon-ic than that.

If it's a choice between the 19 and 21 I'd say get the 21 it's a much better toy. I don't own a 19 personally but I've handled my friend's and for the most part it's a shattering disappointment in comparison.

In order of my preference:

YF21/VF22s, VF11b, YF19, VE1, VT1, VF1s Roy's LV, VF1d M&M Virgin Road.

p.s. I had an overdose of VF1 back during my 1/48 collector days. So, I will just get those VF1 that never came out during those days. I make an exception for the VF1s LV Roy. I like that color scheme.
