Love the Gundam Exia Repair mode feel to it!!! Score A++++ Looking forward to the figure. Good to see Designers give some respoect to the greatest leader the decipticons ever had

Its a huge HUGE improvement over the Shards of Tinfoil with an alt mode with an exposed head. And the arm cannon looks like it expands to form a large G1 like gun. I really like the cape. Gives some character.

No, it's not. At least that made sense (megatron is so badass he doesn't need an earth alt mode). This doesn't even track with what precious little there is in the bayverse as far as what we know the transformers can and can't do.

BB gave himself a completely new body instantaneously. Both Prime and Megatron were able to graft pieces of other transformers onto themselves to repair damage or replace entire limbs. Prime even restored the damage done to his own head.

But now Megatron goes around wearing a hood? Come on, that's just ridiculous.

edit: The one thing that I am enjoying is how much his new bot mode resemble's Prime's body. Really playing up that "brother" thing from the first movie.

Ya but your trying to make sense out of bays universe which is so poorly written and designed with loop holes galore, with lines that can border on the offensive and as metallic sentient beings requiring gonads! Making sense and logic out of a bay movie, you might as well let michael bay soap you down to wash his car while he detonates your head. ..... If you separate the toys design from the movie i think its great. Why cant transformers be old jalopies. As long as the alt mode looks like realistic enough to modern day vehicles and retains a fairly nice robot aesthetic its A+ for me

I'm glad to see megatron finally gets an actual alt mode, and I do like robot capes. looking forward to seeing a leader class toy.

Wow, taking things a bit personal tonight, aren't we? Hey, if you like Megs of Arabia, good for you. And I'm glad Michael Bay is addressing your cape fetish. Maybe in the next movie Megatron can wear a big "M" on his chest and derive his powers from the sun or fight giant spiders in the sewers.

And while I'm aware that this is TRANSFORMERS, I'd also appreciate just the smallest semblance to continuity.

edit: and I'm not talk about some obscure bit of uber nerd transformers trivia from some UK comic that 4 people and their dead cat read.

After how incredibly lame Megatron, the obedient boot licker of the "scary" Mr Fallen, was in the last movie it would take a miracle for me to respect him again. I bet that if you look closelly you'll see cut marks in the toys arm to represent his new mental state.

MegaEmo will at least meke for a really good Leader class I hope. Not very difficult considering the crap they made before...

Or doesn't choose to as a testament of his failures. The Allspark cube is destroyed, the Sun Harvester is wrecked, the guy who he was named after was killed in front of him. The Fallen's real name according to Hasbro is Megatronus Prime.

Bet he'll return the favor by killing that Prime in the trailer. Who is likely to be Sentinel Prime.

Plot hole or continuity porn? Sentinel Prime was mentioned by Sam during his impression of Blurr to have lead some scientific expedition.

Oh Orci and Kurtzman isn't writing DotM. Ehren Kruger is, he was a RotF co-writer.

Same here,too bad the character is sooo crappy compared to whatever version you want to pick of Megatron (and there are a lot to choose from). Hope the new script does something decent wih him (in TF fanboy terms "BadassTrukk not EmoMunky").

The main complaint I have is that Megatron should have a different style alt form from OP imo. Say what you want about the other forms, but Truck vs EVIL Truck just sucks.

Bay has been mixing Real Robot concepts with Super Robot concepts. Which is why Devastator is like a gorilla.

Bay wanted a aircraft carrier TF in ROTF what was shown in art concepts was a spider bot.

for those of you who hate the TF3 Megatron figure. You will appreciate the figure much more after you see the TF3 optimus prime figure which makes one want to vomit large junks of their organs. If this is a movie representation my anticipation that Bay will redeem himself after the colossal failure of the last 2 is out the window. F&%k y^$ bay and hasbro for allowing sh%$ like this.....

For a deluxe size toy it's not that bad actually. (ignoring the giant shoulder tanks, which are probably removable or at least able to swing around to the back where you don't have to look a them.)

Voyager Class Optimus Prime - Why couldn't they just stick with the Hunt for the Decepticons version?

Deluxe Class Starscream, Dread and Buggy - I don't understand all the hate on this new Starscream. Doesn't anyone remember the Voyager figure from the first movie?

I really like most of the ROTF movie toys. I prefer them esthetically to the Classics/universe stuff anyways. These ones look ok except for the pointless, massive guns; this is the first Half way decent movie starscream other than the ROTF leader that we've gotten.

in other news, Movie shockwave.

It's alright now that I've been looking at it for a while, but I really wanted something more epic. Maybe he'll look better in the movie, and we'll get an awesome leader class toy.

When I worked for Paramount, an editor got into a debate with me about how good the original Transformer movie was. I told him to name six of the robot characters in that movie. He could not do it. I asked him to give me the breakdown of the characters outside of Bumblebee, Megatron or Prime, and he could not do it.

When Jazz died, he could not tell me his name. I asked him why we should be sad that he died. After a long pause, he said..."Because he's an Autobot?"

To borrow from Micheal Bolton, Micheal Bay is a no talent ass clown. He has never made a good film and he never will.
