hutch Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Thanks exo and MM. Appreciate the explanation and pictures. Never appeared in any of the shows or DYRL though, correct? Quote
Jasonc Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 No, it was never in any Macross series, anime, etc. Nor was the TH ever used, but they have become so popular, that MW fans have taken matters into their own hands to make the customs. Then it was Hasegawa that made the MG 1/72 model kit. Hopefully a Yamato 1/60 will come out. Quote
Solscud007 Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Don't forget. The pictures you are showing are my pictures of Exo's TH. Even though the pictures look great, Exo's TH is jaw dropping. When I was doing the photo shoot, I literally said "damn that is sexy" many times. Quote

MacrossMan Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 For the sake of this thread Solscud007's MG is top notch hands down, but if I had to choose between TH's I'd have to say EXO's original gets the prize. That gold visor just puts it over the top with that fresh out the factory look to it. Quote

EXO Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 I removed the gold visor and used a prechewed piece of gum in it's place... thought it'd look better... haha. Quote
Loop Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 These Valk's are pretty sweet. Are these all Hasegawa kits? Quote
Dangaioh Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 Nice, these custom guard ideas could be expanded to: Sharon Apple Ghost Grace O'Connor VF27 guard (wth, why not) Rank Lee VF25 Guard Sheryl Nome VF25 Guard Quote
Vi-RS Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 Did anyone out there ever made this scheme in V2 1/60? Any custom decals available out there? Quote

Kicker773 Posted November 27, 2009 Author Posted November 27, 2009 Where did you get that image from if you don't mind me asking? Quote
Jasonc Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 That kit was one of Ryuji's I believe. I have it myself, and it's a very cool figure. If you are referring to any decal's of it, Hasegawa came out with a MG kit a couple years ago. Haven't seen them in awhile, but they may be available on evilbay. Quote

Jasonc Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 He made that kit about 2-3 years ago. I don't know if he's still on this site, but you can look him up and send a message. Don't know if he has any left either. Quote

sigma20xx Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 So what's the storybehind this modle? Where does it fit into the anime? Is this just sometihng that was in the manga? Quote
BlueMax Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 (edited) To quote EXO in post #69 It was a custom armor that was originally published in the japanese hobby magazine MODEL GRAPHIX, Oct 2002. http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/magazi...002-page-25.jpg We drooled over it for 5 years before getting the chance to own one. So no, it was never in the anime, but it has become very popular with fans and customisers, as what Jasonc has mentioned above. Edited December 11, 2009 by BlueMax Quote
MacrossMan Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 (edited) Some pics of my Moon Act Kurt custom. I've said this before, but you really have to see these in person to get the full appreciation of it. I've taken some close ups but they still don't do it justice.
