Mike1101 Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 HI I would like to give my 1/60 toy valkys that "weathered " look, but am totally new to it. i read some people have used a Gundam pen in gray for best results, Any tips on doing this? How do i get best results Or How about promodeler's wash? How does that work and what products do i need. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for your time!! Mike Quote
Valk009 Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Not to pick on you but there are numerous threads in this forum covering techniques on weathering from using normal pencils, Gundam markers, special weathering kits to full blown air brush guides! Do a little search and you will be rewarded heavily! Quote
optimator88 Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 One of many threads. This was on the same page. Good luck. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=30249 Quote
MechTech Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 A search is a good idea (I STILL use it after all these years). There are also different kinds of weathering effect too: hydraulic leaks, exhaust marks, mud, dirt, soil. It also depends on where you imagine it's location to be. If it's going to be out in space, not too dirty. Not much settles down; it all floats around . Let us know how you fared and if you're stuck for help. - MT Quote
