Just read some of the details, very sad. My condolences to the family. A very sad day.

Suicide, huh. Those close to him say that he was anything but suicidal. I wonder what his deal was. Maybe he didn't commit suicide? Who knows. Anyway Kung Fu, Kung Fu the Legend Continues and the Kill Bills were corny but I enjoyed them nonetheless.

Personally, this is what I hate about getting older: slowly losing your faculties and facing your own mortality while watching friends and loved ones dying or otherwise disappearing. Hell, maybe he did commit suicide...

R.I.P David Carradine.

I was really bummed out when I read this earlier today. I just watched Kill Bil 1 & 2 the other day and thought, he was so perfect in that roll. He'll be missed.

Carradine Death Was Accidental

4 June 2009 3:05 PM, PDT

David Carradine died during a sex game that went wrong, according to sources in Bangkok, Thailand, where he was found dead on Thursday.

Carradine's body was discovered in a hotel suite and local reports suggested he committed suicide.

He was discovered by a maid, naked and hanged, but the suggestions his death had a sexual twist were strongly disputed by the star's close friend, attorney Vicki Roberts, and his manager Chuck Binder, who insisted he died of natural causes.

But a statement from Carradine's representative now indicates the actor died during a sex act.

The spokesperson tells TMZ.com, "We can confirm 100 per cent that he never would have committed suicide. It was an accidental death. Everybody is in shock."

Rumours Carradine died attempting auto-erotic asphyxiation - where victims achieve heightened sexual pleasure by restricting their air supply - are backed up by a quote a Bangkok police officer gave to British newspaper The Sun.

The cop tells reporters, "A rope was attached to his neck and also to his penis".

Rocker Michael Hutchence was rumoured to have died attempting the same sex act in a Sydney, Australia hotel room back in 1997 - although his death was officially declared a suicide.

Carradine was in Thailand to shoot new movie Stretch. He was 72.

R.I.P.

I enjoyed much of his work.

You know what, 72 years old, lead an eventful life, was in his waning years. AEA is pretty high on my list of ways to go out, if that's what happened, I hope he passed in a moment of bliss, there are a lot worse ways to croak.

Very sad, indeed. I actually met him at a movie theater five years ago. He was a pretty cool guy.

R.I.P. David Carradine. There will never be another "grasshopper" like him.

On a somethat unrelated related note, R.I.P. Shih Kien (1913-2009). He was a renowned Hong Kong martial arts actor whose career spanned 46 years. His best known role was the villain Han in Enter the Dragon.

If this AEA thing turns out to be true his passing will still be tragic... in a sick, twisted, pathetic way; it will reek of Darwinism.

I feel bad when anyone dies, even if it was suicide or more embarassing circumstances. I was never a big fan of his, I liked Kill Bill, that was pretty much it. Still it's sad to see.
