Yamato Perfect Trance models

Hi,

I am new to the Macross toy universe and have been looking at the 1/60 figures from Yamato. Can someone tell me what is a Perfect Trance figure and how are they different from a non Perfect Trance figure? Or they pretty much the same?

I think you mean Perfect Transformation. Meaning generally (although with some factors of lenience) that the toy can transform between fighter, battroid and gerwalk modes without removal and addition of new parts.

Yamato PT 1/60's include a series of VF-1s, VF-19, VF-21, VF-11, VB-6. I may have missed some.

There are PT 1/60 toys not produced by Yamato as well, of which the most popular atm is probably the VF-25s produced by Bandai.

Thanks for the correction! I was basically quoting what I saw at www.angolz.com where they listed an item as "perfect trance". So are all 1/60 Yamato figures perfect transformation? This is what I found at the site:

http://www.angolz.com/home/productDetails....04&catId=32

and

http://www.angolz.com/home/productDetails....72&catId=32

The first one is a 1/60 VF-1S and does not say perfect transformation. Then 2nd is a VF-1J Perfect Transformation. Other than the different VF type, are these basically the same models? Both contain the super strike parts and are almost the same price.

First link doesn't seem to work. I don't know of any 1/60 Yamato Macross toys that are not PT.

Both the 1/60 VF-1S and the VF-1J should be Perfect Transformation. What should be more important is trying to identify whether or not its a version 1 or version 2 VF-1. From what I can tell, the second link is a version 2.

And just to clarify what's the difference between the versions, you should always get the latest version ones. The latest versions will usually have the problems faced by the previous versions fixed. But sometimes, the latest versions also introduces other new issues. Just like software.

Sigh young grasshopper.........the first version Yamato 1/60 scale VF-1 series was not perfect transformation. You had to remove and reattach the legs.

links work fin for me. both of them are the 1/60 version 2's. the 2 toy's listed are about 90 percent physically identical. with only the head and a couple accessories different between the two as well as color scheme. both are perfect transformation as in no parts swapping (except for the intake covers and fixed pose hands)

Max in his -1S is a yoga master. The CF-1A not so much (it might have helped if I had remembered to close the feet down)

Now all you need is another one playing the bongo or some sort of string instrument.

HELL YEAH! now that captures the meaning of perfrect trance!!

i love trance music by the way and would post some links to some great trance tunes...

but then again its not everyone's cup of tea

seriously this whole thread is becoming dedicated to some very poor translation by some asian guy

(i myself am asian, but i believe whats deserves bashing deserves bashing)

totally baffles me why some people even dare to use AND PUBLISH to the public

words that they half understand/ think they understand/ don't even understand
