DarkReaper Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Hi, I was checking out Mythbusters Season 3 Ep 17 the Jaws special and there they built a robot that had yellow actuators located where the shoulders normally sit. The commentator said: "Those shoulderpads are so 1985". And Robotech was running in that year.
Radd Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Shoulder pads were big in the 80's. Seriously doubt there's any Robotech reference here, especially because there were no shoulder pads even remotely like that in Robotech.

Just for giggles (before this is locked): Don Mattingly won the AL MVP in 1985. The Breakfast Club came out in 1985. "A View to a Kill" by Duran Duran was released in 1985. New Coke was released in 1985. The NES was released in 1985. Edited May 21, 2009 by Duke Togo

He wasn't around during the 80's...probably has no idea what you're talking about.
