REN Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Hello! returned after a long stop. During this period I made a study of 3D graphics. now working with c4d. I took the old project of the Battle Frontier in sketchup and remodels entirely in c4d. these are the first steps. VISTE.bmp after many hours of modeling this is the first texture unfortunately I have very little time for working on it. we see the next update CiuZ Ren Quote

Mr March Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Your animation is going to be amazing. I like the storyboards. Keep up the good work. Quote
Star Dragon Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Have to ask: 1.) Will you be releasing your works later (for like renders). 2.) Also will you have game friendly versions for various projects out there as well? There are many of us who would kill for more M7 meshes! Regardless of the answers, keep it up! Quote
UN Spacy Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Impressive. Most impressive. Keep up the good work. Quote
SchizophrenicMC Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 2.) Also will you have game friendly versions for various projects out there as well? There are many of us who would kill for more M7 meshes! Game-friendly meaning, of course, within the 150k Poly range, right? Quote
Ganbare Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 Game-friendly meaning, of course, within the 150k Poly range, right? So, that number is standard issue for game development? Quote
SchizophrenicMC Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 So, that number is standard issue for game development? It's a joke I make in every thread that's brought up. It highlights the fact that games are no longer limited to low poly counts per model, and that I even have FSX planes running 150k polys. Quote
Star Dragon Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 (edited) Actually, since I like older games to me anything over 50k is pushing it... But do you really need that many if you're making a game version? (meaning multiple ships on screen?) or just the one unique unit? TSJ Amaterasu is only around 60k or 70k I think and can give most sci-fi meshes ships a run for their money IMHO. A little over 7km long. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v104/Ony...JAmaterasu1.jpg It initially suffered from what I call "christmas tree light syndrome." The textures were too noisey and because of thousands or millions of lights on it you couldn't even see a ship, just the overall shape/outline. I mean the original had a lot of work put into it , but it was too complex and you couldn't fully appreciate it. This re-texture at least tried not to drown out the actual detail covered by texture details... LESS IS MORE. This is the Original: http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk124/e...terasuFinal.jpg He's not obviously, but if the desire was there I'm just saying keep that in mind. Star Dragon Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 I'll nip this in the bud now, I create NOTHING. I am merely a converter, kitbasher, partial re-texturer, or voice actor. I don't make meshes or textures or code. I just feel privileged enough for people to let me ATTEMPT to use their works. Not everything I ask for use covnerts or gets in game... For example this is probably my best kitbash (no 3d skills) ever and was welcomed with open arms by the SFc3 community: http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b321/Sta...areaglemkII.jpg I was honored to get the - Outalance Modding Group badge I always try to stay true to the source but try to find new POV or aspects of older meshes. But now I'm going off on a tangent. We defiantly need more Macross F meshes! (tons of renders to be made!)... I found some f-14 SMS skins for HAWX (Crappy Demo BTW) but great fan works! They replaced the stock f-14's with 18k customs. Quote

REN Posted June 1, 2009 Author Posted June 1, 2009 ..... the texture I made almost all alone, are very simple, a black line, with a retouching photoshop, and tons of filter in C4D. I think they are not models for a video game, tooooooo many polygons. well some update: here the Battle Galaky: The 2 Battles For the phase transformation of the Battle Frontier here are a couple of scenes that enrich the context. The first is a scene of 10 seconds where you see the main reactor buying power. 10 hours of work for 10 seconds .... not bad ..... : (, But I am inspired too far to see motorone the spaceship! The second stage will be integrated in 5 seconds and repeats costrittori anchor leg while separate on the transformation. Here I have yet to find the right angles of the camera to retrieve almost everything, without having to add more details. time out..... seeya next week!! Quote
Renato Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 (edited) This is bloody amazing. Well done, and cannot wait to see more! Edited June 1, 2009 by Renato Quote
chillyche Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 WOW, Ren! C'mon, that stuff is awesome! You're using Cinema4D now? Didn't you start off building the Galaxy in google sketchup? This stuff looks great. Quote
Mr March Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 This is simply amazing work. It's even more impressive that you're going to do inserts with animation for the transformation. I'm blown away by the detail you're putting into this and the speed with which you're working. I can't wait to see more. Quote
SchizophrenicMC Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Consider my pants completely and thoroughly jizzed. That, my friend, is AMAZING. Quote

REN Posted June 8, 2009 Author Posted June 8, 2009 Thanks to everyone for support! FOR chillyche: Yep the Galaxy is the same ship that I made with googlesketchup, but improved through the program C4D, I have not the knowledge to rebuild from scratch with cinema 4d then: this is finally the last ship of the fleet. The Guantanamo. and this is the first test in space with a nebula as a backdrop really heavy to render!!! Now begins the hard part of this work, find a good sounds effects seeya next week Quote
