Ginrai Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 We have a new podcast up at: http://www.destroyallpodcastsdx.com It is about Starship Troopers 2: Hero of the Federation and Starship Troopers 3: Marauder, a pair of cheesy direct to video sequels to Starship Troopers. Quote
Vermillion21 Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Yeah, I was disappointed in both sequels. And surprisingly, 3 is better than 2 ... Quote
Einherjar Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 (edited) Starship Troopers 3 almost sounds like a rip-off of Tremors or something. EDIT: Btw, from your podcast, Passions had Chad who is NOT gay. Edited May 16, 2009 by Einherjar Quote
505thAirborne Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 As I said on one of the other threads, its a shame when Hollywood gets the License/copyrights to a Book, Manga/comic or Anime piece. They usually ruin it. And Starship Troopers was ruined badly!! I'd love to see a remake of the film (Power Armor of accurate design) by either Ridley Scott or Christopher Nolan behind the camera. And yes, surprisingly Part 3 was better. Quote
shiroikaze Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 (edited) And yes, surprisingly Part 3 was better. It was still pretty bad enough... Starship Troopers Chronicles is probably the best thing there is to Starship Troopers. (I haven't seen the anime though.) Edited May 16, 2009 by shiroikaze Quote
boinger Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 The subtitled Star Ship Troopers anime can still be found on animesuki. The Starship Trooper Chronicles CGI cartoon was way better then the Japanese anime! And Sony refuses to produce the final 3 episodes of SST Chronicles due to mature subject matter. At least, that's from what I read. Quote

More like the company that created it collapsed more than ten years ago. Quote
Knight26 Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 I wonder if the scripts were ever produced though, I wouldn't mind reading them, I did like the series, even if it did use a bit too much from the movies. Quote
