geepogi
Now that yamato has released the vf-11b, what's next? Not to be confused for a wishlist, where everyone says what toys they want to be made or what they like, but rather something "concrete" or definitive on what the next yamato release will be? I'm not thinking along the lines of repaints or minor changes, i.e, vf-22 or the new incarnations of the 19, but something of a completely new mold or a major change in the molds. Will it be the SDF1? After the vf-11b, I'm looking forward to what the next yamato offering will be.
Dashgtr
Yup they already started on it, there's a thread here sometime back. Can't seem to find it.
Master Dex
Well, Yamato is making an SDF-1 figure... at 1/2000 scale of course, making it the biggest I think has been done for that particular ship/mecha. As for Valkyries, I wouldn't know if they have any plans for something that hasn't been done before or not.
Dashgtr
http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...05&hl=SDF-1 Here it is.
geepogi
Thanks guys. I know they are already working on the SDF-1. I was just being sarcastic. The SDF-1 will be released sometime next year and I was wondering what yamato will be coming up with to tide us over till the SDF-1 gets released. And I want something substantial, logical or definitive to back-up any claims. TIA! Edited May 11, 2009 by geepogi
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0
VF-4 is not next on 1/60 scale, and VF-0D is on the short list.
geepogi
VF-4 is not next on 1/60 scale, and VF-0D is on the short list. when you say on the short-list, does it mean yamato is already working on it? so can should we start saving for a vf-0D this year? i guess the vf-0D is the most likely candidate for the next non-vf-1, not-repainted and not re-issued valk to be released after the vf-11b as it shares a lot of parts with the other vf-0's. SuperHobo
If Yamato does a VF-OD will it have the amazing quality and durability of all the latest valks their releasing? Nearly indestructible shoulders would be a nice start on the OD.

Graham
SDF-1 already confirmed. 3 Valks on shortlist for next all new PT VF. Not sure if choice has been made and work has started yet.

Not sure if choice has been made and work has started yet. thanks graham! will all the valks on short-list be eventually made? so for the meantime, nothing definite is set to be released after the vf-11b? so for those who are not interested in the repaints, their wallets can take a break. or be diverted elsewhere. (hmm. v2.0 mass-"productive" gelgoog or char's?)

wolfx
SDF-1 already confirmed. 3 Valks on shortlist for next all new PT VF. Not sure if choice has been made and work has started yet. geepogi
Are these 3 shortlisted ones repaints or new moulds? new molds. vf-0D vf-4 (?) other one is still unknown
BlueMax
He said "all new" so its nothing that we have seen so far from yamato
edwin3060
Yep Graham has mentioned that the VF-0D is on the shortlist, while the VF-4 has been looked at (but is not a priority?) Either way, I'm happy with the VF-0D if it really gets made, and 3 new PT Valks sounds good for my wallet (Since I'm trying to limit myself to 1 of each design)! thankheaven
Im guessing the 3 VF's on Yamato's shortlist are VF-4, VF-0D and VF-17. The 17 is one of Graham's favorites i believe so im sure he has pushed for it. So i think the most likely is the VF-0D since its the cheapest to make sharing so many parts with the other VF-0's. Then maybe the VF-17 and last the VF-4 since Graham said it was not on top of the list.
Scream Man
Yeah the 0D would have to be closer now. They're running out of new "Main" fighters. VF-4 and whatnot arent really central. the 17 and VF-19 would be 2 that would be up there Id say.
Omegablue
VF-0D would be the holy grail in most collections! And this time surely it will have no QC issues? Well, I'm a little disappointed that there is still no concrete rumours for anything Zentradi? A Regult would do good now with the V.2 1/60. But suspect to it in GN-U Dou form first. I wonder if the VF-2 from Macross 2 is on that short list?
Dobber
Possibly the VF-5000, VF-0D, VF-4..? What are the Valks seen in M7 Dynamite? That could help narrow the list, if Yamato does have the rights to it. Chris

Chris Well, the VF-5000 like you mentioned, VF-19P, VF-1A Whale Hunter Custom, VT-1C, VA-3C, VF-17D, and the VF-22S as well, which is already coming out. I might have missed some. Omegablue
VF-1A Whale Hunter Custom I can't find any images of this one? Can anyone help? Also just went through the pics of the various VF-4, VF-5000 and VF-17. They don't really look like hot-sellers in looks, but my tastes are fairly picky. LOL. As for the VF-17, the gerwalk mode is not very convincing... Damn, really wished Yammy had the Frontier license...

BlueMax
Hm.... seriously, i wouldn't mind a whale hunter custom.... as for the VT-1C.... as long as the nose cone uses the VT-1 sculpt, I'll take it too.
Dobber
Remember Graham did say all new VF. So would the VT-1c or VF-1 whale custom really fit? Chris Edited what graham said. Edited May 11, 2009 by Dobber
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0
when you say on the short-list, does it mean yamato is already working on it? so can should we start saving for a vf-0D this year? No it means that it is on their list of best possible candidates to turn into toys. Short list meaning that it's a short number of things they have in mind, and one of those will be the next release. 505thAirborne
Whats next after the VF-11B? A VF-11C........? they already have the molds made, might as well take advantage of it!! Just have to make a new Gun pod.
BlueMax
Heh...i'm sure it will be out sooner or later.... but in this case, we are talking about totally new moulds..
David Hingtgen
VF-0D would need so many new parts it may as well count as all-new. (and I want one!)
505thAirborne
I gotcha!! In that case as far as new mold goes, I would really like to see the VF-4 or a VF-0S with Reactive Armor made!! I'd say a VF-2SS + SAP, but thats a pipe dream for now.
