Here I am trying to raise money to buy more Macross stuff. A friend knows I have my Earlier Edition YF-19 for sale. They ask about the paint wear on the die-cast parts. I offer to take some pictures of the wear. I take a few and notice that the leg to body joints are really lose. I loosen them years ago because I remember hearing something about too much tension on these parts. It has gotten even loser since. I decide to tighten it up just a bit. I don't wanna sale a friend a floppy Valk. Twist the screw tighter a little bit. Then I move the legs at the hips with light pressure. Wasn't light enough.

This is what happened:

I do have a newer 1/60 YF-19 so this wasn't my only YF-19 toy. This was my first Yamato. Don't know how to even fix it. Both opposite ends of the broken part are connected to Spring/Screws which puts tension on both ends. A super glued part is not going to hold together as good as solid part.
