nylcbv
Hi all, I received my VF-11B on Monday and when I opened the box, I was a little disappointed by the color Thus I had the idea to customize this... And by using these colors I want something like this I begin now...
MechTech
Thumbs up!! I think the stock color looks drab too. The Jolly rogers theme would be great! You can paint "Jack" (the skull and crossbones) on the tail! - MT
505thAirborne
Go for it Bro. that paint scheme would look super awesome on a VF-11!!!
honkhet
GO FOR IT BRO! this is going to be AWESOME!!!
edwin3060
Looks amazing. We all love the Jolly Roger's Scheme. If painting the skull and bones is too time consuming you could consider using the decals from 1/72 kits-- I'm just worried about how the paint/decals would be affected if you ever stow the tail fins though. Unless you are going to keep it in fighter mode?
Fatalist
That'll look amazing when finished. Maybe while you're at it when tearing everything apart, you could tool up some bigger tailfins.

SchizophrenicMC
I begin now... You're one of few I think can pull this off. Good luck and Godspeed.
nylcbv
Thanks all for your attention. Here is my unpleasant part of the work, the dismantling of VF-11 (more difficult than VF-1 V.2), and the sanding of the various pieces (Pffffff, I hate this) The next stage is the pose of the "Tamiya Fine surface primer"

nylcbv
Wow thats fast! And amazing! May I ask if you got your decals from any particular model kit? I used the decals of the Grumman F-14 Tomcat 1/48 VF-84 " Jolly Rogers "

nylcbv
I don't know if this can interest you ?... After transformation, painting likes well but the decal behind the cockpit doesn't love transformations I don't like "Batroid mode" for VF-11... (Ok, ok, ok )... and it's the reason that this is not perfect... For me, the VF-11 will stand in "Fighter Mode" for my collection ... ... and my custom is not finished, gunpod "Phoenix" and Fast Pack "Jolly Rogers"...
