Chuey Posted November 10, 2003 Posted November 10, 2003 Thanks Shawn for making these available. I always love how the japanese toy commericals animate the product in their commerials . Wow, those Southern Cross model commercials bring back memories. It would be great to see if Dragon or BBI did a line of action figures based on that series' armor. Quote
Bub Posted November 10, 2003 Posted November 10, 2003 WOW! Thanks for the commercials! It seems like I can smell them. Quote

Mechamaniac Posted November 11, 2003 Posted November 11, 2003 I love the way they stop animated the figure and the bike in that Mospeada ride armor commercial!. Today we all find it hilarious, but 20 years ago, we all sat with mouths hanging open in awe... Quote
Mechafan Posted November 11, 2003 Posted November 11, 2003 (edited) Those where great! I got to get me one of those clock games. It is interesting they had Max and Miriya with matching super armor. Too bad they did not make the reissues like that. The Mospeada Alpha and Cyclone ones were nice with the anime effects. Edited November 11, 2003 by Mechafan Quote
BoBe-Patt Posted November 11, 2003 Posted November 11, 2003 whoa!! those alpha and cyclone commercials are awesome!! Dang, I just want to know how they made scott B. ride that armor correctly. I can't get my to stay on the bike straight! Quote

Shawn Posted November 13, 2003 Author Posted November 13, 2003 Sent the HCM link to Matt Alt (of Toybox dx fame) Thought you'd get a kick out of his reply. My chest glows with excitement!! ------------------------------------- Shawn, HA HA HA! Man, what's a WOMAN doing in that ad? Eveyone knows HCM collectors don't stand a chance with the ladies! In the beginning she says: "I've found a new thrill when it comes to 3D models..." Then the lusty-voiced narrarator tells us that the HCMs are fully built-up and ready to display. Then she says: "Mune, kagayaku!" (literally, "My chest glows with excitement" -- ha ha ha!) "My heart beats with anticipation," maybe? TOTALLY out of place! -Matt Quote
Jawjaw Posted November 13, 2003 Posted November 13, 2003 I had no idea that those HCM's pimped the ladies like that. Quote
drifand Posted November 13, 2003 Posted November 13, 2003 Hey hey! Remember, back then HCMs were expensive completed models targeted at young working males who had no time to properly finish a plamodel after a hard day's work. :-) Quote
