Zero Enna Posted November 9, 2003 Posted November 9, 2003 I was thinking, The Vf-0 program was running between the end of Anti-unification wars and the start of Space War One (2007 to the end of 2008). But only in 2008 the ASCA-II is around the Mayan Island by some strange thinf about protoculture. Maybe, ASCA-II was assigned to South Ataria Island before Macross Zero? Other question, the VF-1 is a mass produced fighter, but the VF-0 is a limited production fighter. So...How many VF-0 theres in one squadron? The number of produced VF-0S is 4, and in all the other macross series the S type is for Squadron Leaders. Theres 4 VF-0 Squadrons? And the last question is about VF pilots, Roy Focker was joined in UN Air Force without pass in his country (US) Air Forces? Quote

And the last question is about VF pilots, Roy Focker was joined in UN Air Force without pass in his country (US) Air Forces? About Asuka-II. We don't know. It could have. It couldn't have. The same could be said about the Prometheus. It was based at South Ataria so how come it didn't go? There are a lot of ships in the Pacific (the Illustria being another carrier in the Pacific). We really don't know where Asuka-II's home port is. On how many VF-0's there are in a squadron. As many as they could fit? Squadron sizes vary. The VF-1 hierarchy shows as many as 15 fighters to 1 tactical wing. But then you need to include support craft, etc, etc, etc. Then consider that all the VF-0's on Asuka-II are part of Skull.... Not necessarily. There may have just been 4 VF-0S's produced. Those 3 additional VF-0S's may just serve the role that the VF-1J served later. Perhaps Roy felt a higher calling and joined the UN forces instead of the US military, unlike Shin. Quote
David Hingtgen Posted November 9, 2003 Posted November 9, 2003 (edited) Real world stuff: 12 fighters per squadron. 3 squadrons per wing. A group is generally a wing as well, but some big wings are split into two groups, (and each group might have several squadrons), thus making a HUGE wing. Usually, a wing will 3 squadrons of the same thing--3 F-15C fighters, 3 F-15E, 3 F-16's, etc. But if there's 4, you'll usually split it into 2 groups of 2 different things-- 2 F-15E's and 2 A-10's, or 2 F-16's and 2 F-15's. So if there's 3 squadrons, it'll be a single group/wing, but if there's 4, it'll be split into two groups that make up the single wing. Then there's multiple wings per air force, then all the air forces together make up the US Air Force. (Main air forces are 8th, 9th, and 12th. 1st is the ANG, 10th is the reserves, most of the others are overseas, primarily Japan/Korea, and UK/Germany/Italy) Navy squadrons are however big they need to be, usually 10 or 12 planes each. A Naval carrier air wing is huge though, 6-9 squadrons. Edited November 9, 2003 by David Hingtgen Quote
