Fly4victory Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 It wasn't THAT long ago where it was literally a closet. Best line: "You know those cool air filled bags that cushion your order? Those are filled right here in the factory. Open one up, and you are breathing Japanese air". Because we all know valks fly best when they're surrounded by Japanese air. Japanese Air!!!! So that is what is so addictive about HLJ orders. I have never seen a stock room so well maintained.... Even the "defective items" are perfectly clean. Need more behind the curtain stories. Quote
Chet Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Did I understand this correctly? The interviewer actually got to do some offline shopping at the HLJ warehouse? So is that the same as the online price plus Japanese sales tax but without the shipping? Quote
MechTech Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Thanks for posting that! It's a good thing I was eating some crackers to soak up the drool I always wondered what that place looked like - now I know! - MT Quote
biggooftoybox Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 That is very impressive. I always thought HLJ was done out of someone's garage or something like that. But it looks totally professional. I can understand their higher prices now. Still i aint complaining, they usually got the stuff I want but i concurr with others on this board, once you factor in shipping and customs etc etc, the price does get steep. Quote
CF18 Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 A bit OT... but this warehouse is even more cool http://www.kivasystems.com/demo/index.html Quote
