MacrossMan Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 here's my 1/72 vf-25 collection so far Bro! Your 1/72 Frontier collection is sick!
honkhet Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 thanks man really looking forward to add armored ozma, and hoefully some q-rae, vf-27 and vf-171 in the future, go Bandai!
Sluff Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Aww man would have been cool to hang out with a fellow Mac fan in the Chi Dude, Kicker why didn't you say anything before I moved? I miss Chicago brother.
macross1979 Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 last crappy pic tonight, i promise. That's not crappy mate. I've taken worse. I just need to start posting more pics now.
MacrossMan Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 These are pics of my new 1/60 v2 VF-1D courtesty of Valk009. Do business with this guy! He's on point! Anywho, this is my visual of how the VF-0 was decommissioned and retired as the VF-1 came into play. Keep in mind the ground crew is out of scale, the characters are not cannon, and the guy passed out on the catwalk has suffered a heart attack from the beauty of the the new VF-1; hey who says it's no fun to imagine? As much as I love the new 1/60's (this new VF-1D is probably my favorite so far), the last two pics show why I will always remain a 1/48 (larger scale) junkie. The pics don't do the comparison much justice, but seeing it in person, you can only shake your head at Yamato for not doing this in 1/48 scale. What a shame...
honkhet Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 very impressive! how i wish i had a diorama setup like urs that drinks vending machine is da bomb! on a side note, i think you forgot to extend the neck of your vf-0A the 1/60 yamato vf-0 actually have necks and you need to pull up the head to reveal it. however this neck is not as apparent on the vf-0s due to its large chin
MacrossMan Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 "I'll call him....Mini Me....." Ha! Believe it or not that's exactly what it looks like next to the 1/48. Like an action figure of some sort.
PsYcHoDyNaMiX Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 @ len d69 Nice display, but where's the chunkies? XD

len_d69 Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 (edited) @ len d69 Nice display, but where's the chunkies? XD My 1J and 1S chunkies are at my parent's place back in Manila. Any time to get to business while I'm dealing an allergy attack which didn't stop me from opening up my package which did arrive today right on schedule as I predicted I just got my first 1/60 VF-1S Max and I must say it's smaller than it looks on the picture I kept looking back at my other 1/60 toys especially the YF-19 and YF-21 and thought to myself it's way smaller than then almost close to 1/72 scale. The Missile pods are wonderfully detailed according to the line art which makes me wonder why they didn't do that with 1/48's. And thanks to the instructions and everyone mentioning the shoulder joints I was able to transform it from Fighter to Gerwalk mode carefully: however, the feet I had trouble getting out, I wonder if anyone else had that problem when they got theirs should have read one of those threads about problems with 1/60 V.2 Valkyrie to prepare for trouble. I did remember reading in another thread the shoulder joints or too stiff which I found out to be too true. But my one problem is that on the picture on the box and on the website is that it's heat shield is blue, but when I looked underneath it the shield is black and not blue and in the movie it show it as black in some scenes when it's in battroid mode. And I thought was some animation error or poor lighting as Max was fighting Millia in the skies at dusk. any way My 1/60 Quedeluun Rau now has a playmate to pose with since it has been surrounded by my 1/48 VF-1J Max and Millia and I like the new and improved arms, again why didn't Yamato do that with the 1/48's, they should sell arm and hand upgrade kits. logos Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 (edited) Hello Logos that first pic you posted where is that at your job or at your home, cause if it’s at your job then you are one brave hombre, might tempt some cleaning lady into taking it home to her kids. It's work. I know our cleaning lady and she's good people so I don't worry about it. Like I've told other's here the only person I worry about in my office is the resident "old fart". He threatens to throw them off the side of the building to see if they really fly. Then I tell them how much they cost and he shuts up. I have to admit though that my collection is starting to get to big for my office. I would take them home but then where would I put all my books? Besides when I feel like I am going to rage or get bored at work I just look at my Valks and go to my "happy place". Works a hell of a lot better than "Calm blue ocean". I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop and my boss to tell me to take them home but right now they are my office flare. Oh and nice pics! Edited April 28, 2009 by logos
VF-18S Hornet Posted April 28, 2009 Author Posted April 28, 2009 (edited) thanks more to come ah heck here are some more with my 19 with destroid hanger crew and other collections Edited October 27, 2010 by VF-18S Hornet
sircastico Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Thanks for the generous shots VF-18S Hornet! Won't the sunlight affect the white plastic later on?
MacrossJunkie Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Isamu really needs to slim down. He's getting so fat, he can't even fit into a VF-1 anymore. Your Isamu looks kinda fuzzy. Do you have your 19 normally displayed with the cockpit open?
VF-18S Hornet Posted April 28, 2009 Author Posted April 28, 2009 (edited) Isamu really needs to slim down. He's getting so fat, he can't even fit into a VF-1 anymore. Your Isamu looks kinda fuzzy. Do you have your 19 normally displayed with the cockpit open? Unfortunately yes, I can't do anything with the dust in my room as it is in the air (I blame the furnace for blowing dust in the air ) and when I can I do dust off my humble collection that's growing with the 11 coming. I'll probaly need one of those 200+ ion air purifiers that removes dust from the air or a humidifier but I don't know how it will affect everything in my collection and to answer sircastico question I hope not I didn't have in the sun that long I needed the light to take those neat shots. But after some grueling effort to transform it into batttroid mode I was able to take some more shots, shot that I will post up laters as soon as I upload them into my photobucket page. But if I forget just click on to view my collection link below my message because it's most likely I'll be too tierd once I get back from work by the time they upload.
